Make sure no audience or crew member is too close to
loudspeakers when operating with high sound pressure
levels (SPL). Professional loudspeaker systems are capable of
producing sound pressure levels high enough to cause
permanent hearing damage even at exposure times less than
couple of minutes.

INTRODUCTION
i3 is a ultra compact passive loudspeaker. It consists of
single 3” cone driver. Proprietary acoustic waveguide design
increases mid and high frequency efficiency and directivity
character. 100x60 degree dispersion makes the loudspeaker
easy to adjust according to installation and also vertical
columns of two to six units are possible. This feature makes
i3 a real all-around loudspeaker with almost limitless
possibilities!
Design and modeling concept of the enclosure is done by
designer Mr Stefan Lindfors, known for his variety of work
around the world. The injection-molded enclosure also
features UPM Formi next generation bio-based material.
This gives i3 not only unique and timeless look but rigid,
lightweight and resonance free features.
i3 does not feature a crossover and reflex tuning, which
leads to fully flat phase response and most accurate
transient response with no decay and common tuning
related problems. As a dedicated installation enclosure i3
features 5mm rigging points and array accessories.

ARRAYS AND i3R5 ACCESSORIES
You can create arrays up to 6 units with i3 using i3R5
connecting plate. i3R5 features fixed till angle and bended
groove in the middle which is used to hide the connecting
cables.
Start assembling the array by placing the i3´s side by side
and connect cables. It is recommended to cut the cables to
minimum length to make the use of groove easier. Gripping
tool is useful when connecting two wires together. In most
cases i3´s are wired in parallel. If however larger voltages
(70V or 100V) are needed to compensate transmission
losses series connection can also be used. Remember to
compensate this arrangement when setting up the limiter
parameters!
After connecting the wires place first i3R5 connection plate
on top of the first pair of i3´s and use the four M5 bolts
found in the back plate of i3 to fix the connection plate to
outer i3 in the array. If multiple connection plates are been
used it is good practice to connect every second pair first
and then connect them to together.
i3 is driven with Aura Audio D2w.i3 or other Aura Audio
approved powered controllers. D2w.i3 features 2 in 4 out
matrix with analog filtering, optical limiters and ultra high
quality class-D amplifiers powered by high efficiency switch-
mode power supply.
