INSTALLING WEATHER-PROTECTED UPM LOUDSPEAKERS

Weather-protected UPM-1P, UPM-1XP, UPM-2P, and UPM-2XP loudspeakers are available for fixed, outdoor installations.

The weather-protected loudspeakers differ from normal models in that they must be mounted with 0-degree tilt, or prefera-

bly with downtilt, to ensure loudspeaker electronics are shielded from the elements. UPM loudspeakers can be mounted

horizontally or vertically, however, when mounting loudspeakers vertically, cabinets must be flipped, oriented with the grille

frame logo and user panel toward the top.

CAUTION: Weather-protected UPM loudspeakers must be mounted with 0-degree tilt, or preferably with

downtilt, to ensure loudspeakers electronics are shielded from the elements. In addition, when mounting loud-

speakers vertically, cabinets must be flipped, oriented with the grille frame logo and user panel toward the top.

NOTE: Optional rain hoods are available, and are recommended, for outdoor installations with UPM loud-

speakers, to shield loudspeaker user panels from water intrusion.
