Assemble the bracket (M) upright on the wall using the plastic
screw anchors provided, being sure to position it close to a
power outlet.
Place the bracket on the wall and mark the points where the an-
choring screws should be inserted. Drill holes in the wall at these
points and insert the two screw anchors.
Screw in the upper screw, leaving it slightly protruding so as to
mount the bracket (M) and the screw and press it downward to
make sure it is hooked in place correctly.
Screw in the second screw and check that the bracket is firmly
attached to the wall.

WARNING!!! The first time you use the appliance, it must be
charged for at least 24h to fully charge the batteries.
The first time you use the appliance, connect the recharger (I) to
the recharging plug (A), plug in the recharger and wait for the
amount of time specified above. The indicator light (C) will remain
on for as long as the appliance is connected to the recharger.
When the appliance has been charged, unplug the recharger from
the power outlet and then remove the recharging plug from the
appliance. Apply the accessory suited to the type of cleaning
you intend to do and start the vacuum cleaner by setting the
switch (B) to position 1. Once you have finished cleaning, put it
back in its original position. (A fully charged battery will last about
10 minutes of operation).

Removable motor-driven brush:
The motor-driven brush allows you to brush carpets, raising dust
so that it is easily suctioned up by the appliance. This accessory
is recommended for low pile carpets only.
Firmly apply the motor-driven brush to the dust container open-
ing.
• Do not use the motor-driven brush to suction up hair, threads,
etc. as these would obstruct the brush.
• Never touch the brush while in operation. It could be haz-
ardous.
Lance:
Apply the appropriate nozzle for the surface area to be cleaned.
The lance is useful for suctioning in hard to reach corners, and
may be used with the hose if necessary.
• Apply the adapter to the dust container.
• Apply the lance and start suctioning.
• The flat lance (7) also has a brush attachment (8) for cleaning
keyboards, etc.
Soft cleaning brush:
Useful for suctioning up dust off picture frames, shelves, etc.
May be used with the hose if necessary.
• Apply the adapter to the dust container.
• Apply the soft cleaning brush and start suctioning.
Nozzle:
Useful for suctioning up dust and crumbs from tables, shelves,
and other surfaces.
May be used with the hose if necessary.
• Apply the adapter to the dust container.
• Apply the nozzle and start suctioning.
• The nozzle (10) also has a brush attachment (11).

If you find that several recharges are not sufficient to permit opti-
mal functioning at first, this does not mean that the appliance is
detective.
It is normal for batteries to require a number of recharges before
they offer optimum performance. The first time you use the appli-
ance, it is a good idea to operate it until the battery is flat.

Cleaning the dust container
Make sure the appliance has been unplugged before removing
dirt.
• Remove dirt collected in the dust container after each use.
• Hold the appliance upright with the tip downwards so you will
not spill dirt.
• Press the container fixing hook (D) to release the container
(E).
• Remove the filter (F) and shake it out. If it is very dirty, rinse it
under running water. If the filter is torn, replace it with an orig-
inal Polti filter.
• Empty the dust container, wash it and dry it.
• Put the filter (F) back in the container (E), first checking that
both components are perfectly dry.
• Connect the container (E) to the body of the appliance, rais-
ing the hook (D) a little until the two parts are firmly in place.
Precautions when cleaning the appliance and the filter
Do not attempt to clean the appliance with paint thinners or other
chemical solutions which could damage its outer shell.
Clean with neutral soap and a damp cloth only.
Clean plastic parts with a damp cloth only.
Make sure that the dust container and filter (F) are perfectly dry
before using them again.
Check that the motor-driven brush is not obstructed by hair or
threads before using it.
Contact an authorised Polti service centre if you need repair
work.
Disposing of batteries:
Precautions when handling nickel cadmium batteries:
When you need to replace the appliance’s batteries, re-
move old nickel cadmium batteries carefully and take
them to an authorised collection facility.
• Do not burn batteries or expose them to high temperatures,
as they could explode.
• Do not put batteries or the appliance in a place where tem-
peratures are high. Do not throw them onto a fire.
• Do not short circuit terminals. Cover battery terminals with in-
sulating tape. DO NOT dismantle and reassemble the battery
pack.
• Do not attempt to clean the battery pack with paint solvents
or other chemical solutions which could damage the batter-
ies’ outer covering.
• Always take the battery pack and the appliance to authorised
service centres only.
• Battery leakage:
Under extreme environmental conditions batteries may leak.
Battery fluid is a 20-35% potassium hydroxide solution.
• If battery fluid comes into contact with the skin:
• Wash immediately with water and neutral soap, or neutralise
the affected area with lemon juice or vinegar.
• If the fluid comes into contact with the eyes:
• Rinse the eyes immediately with clean running water for at
least 10 minutes and seek medical attention without delay.
• To keep batteries properly charged, keep the appliance con-
nected to its recharging base with the adapter plugged in at
all times.
• Always store the battery pack and the appliance together in a
cool place with the battery pack fully charged.
• Do not remove the battery pack from the appliance except
for maintenance work or replacement of the battery pack.
