This quick start guide is designed to get you up and running quickly with your new router.
More advanced set up instructions can be found in the user manual which can be downloaded
from www.netcommwireless.com
ATTACHING YOUR USB ADAPTER
Insert your N600 Dual Band WiFi USB Adapter into a spare USB port of your laptop or
desktop computer.
CONNECTING TO YOUR WIFI NETWORK
1. Click on the Wireless Zero Conguration icon down the bottom right of your
screen. This will display all of the available WiFi networks that you can connect to.
2. Select your WiFi network and when prompted, enter the password for that network.
3. Allow approximately 1 minute for the adapter to recognise your settings. When complete,
you will be able to access the Internet over your selected WiFi network.

TROUBLESHOOTING
YOUR COMPUTER DOES NOT DETECT YOUR USB ADAPTER
You may need to install a driver onto your computer to allow your USB Adapter to operate.
Please visit the Downloads section of the product page on the NetComm Wireless website to

1. Download the appropriate zipped driver folder from the NetComm Wireless website to
your computer.
2. Right click on the folder and select the Extract To option, choosing a location to extract
the les to.
3. Open Device Manager (Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager
> Network Adapters) and select the Broadcom 802.11n Wireless USB Adapter.
4. Select the Driver tab and press the Update Driver button.
5. Select the Browse my Computer for the Driver Software option from the Windows
Driver Update.
6. Browse to the folder you previously extracted and press the Open button. Windows
should detect the appropriate driver and install it.
7. Follow the onscreen instruction to complete the installation.
Note: This USB Adapter does not work with any Mac operating systems. All recent Macs have dual band WiFi built-in as a feature.
CANNOT ESTABLISH A WIFI CONNECTION
Ensure you are connecting to the correct WiFi network and that your WiFi router and WiFi
USB Adapter are using the same security settings.

Dual Band WiFi creates two separate WiFi networks that can be dedicated to specic
applications around your home or ofce. Having separate networks will double your WiFi
bandwidth and speeds will be increased as there will be no interference between competing
WiFi frequencies.
