Introduction

Thank you for selecting IQG Weam – your personal wireless weather monitoring station for

smartphones.

This manual contains information about installation and first run of your outdoor module Weam W1O

and indoor module Weam W1I (modules are sold separately). Each Weam is monitoring temperature,

barometric pressure, relative humidity and dew point temperature. For reading hi quality Swiss sensors

are used, to obtain values with maximum precision. Weam W1I is intended for interior use and Weam

W1O can be used for monitoring outdoor conditions. Both modules are communicating wirelessly and

displaying the data on your smartphone.

NOTE: Please read this manual carefully and keep it for later use. It contains practical step-by-step

instructions, as well as technical specifications and warnings you should know about.

Prerequisites of Usage

To show data from Weam weather station you need:

1. Smartphone or tablet with the following parameters:

a) Bluetooth 4.0 chipset ,

b) Device with OS Android 4.4 (KitKat) and newer.

c) Apple device iPhone 4S and newer, iPad 3 and newer.

2. Weam App is available at Google Play Store, or Apple App Store

Installing Batteries

1. Take the Weam out of the box and remove the magnetic wall mount holder attached to its back

side.

2. Unscrew the 4 screws on the battery cover.

3. Open the battery cover and insert two AAA batteries (included in the packaging). When inserting

the batteries, please pay attention to the correct battery polarity.

4. Replace the battery compartment cover and screw the four screws tightly.

PLEASE NOTE: If the screws of the battery cover have not been fastened tightly, in the case of

the outdoor module (W10) the rainwater may seep inside and damage the device.

5. The Weam is now ready to monitor its environment.

Installing Weam W1O Outdoor Module

When installing the Weam W10 outdoor module, we recommend the following steps to make sure it

works properly and does the most accurate measurements:

1. To install the device, select the location where the device is the most protected from the direct

sunlight and unfavorable weather conditions, for example windows, window panes, or balcony

doors.

PLEASE NOTE: When installing the device it is necessary to take into account the maximum

distance from which your mobile phone is able to read the data from the device. This distance

depends on a specific type of phone and the obstacles surrounding it. If there are no obstacles

such as walls, trees, etc., its range is 45-50 meters. In the interior, where the signal can get

distorted by walls or other obstacles, its range could be up to 10-15 meters.

2. For mounting the device on the wall use the enclosed magnetic holder. The correct installation

on the wall will ensure the easy handling with the device in the future (e.g. in case of replacing

the batteries) as well as the correct orientation of the holes for measuring sensors on the cover

of the device.

3. Screw the magnetic holder on the chosen spot. We recommend using the enclosed dowels and

screws for installation of the device. Install the holder in such a way so that the text of the logo

iQG is on the top – see picture below.

4. Attach the back side of the Weam to the holder. The magnets in the holder will ensure its proper

installment. If the holder has been installed properly, the holes for sensors on the device should

be facing the floor. See the picture below.

Installing Weam W1I Indoor Module

When installing the Weam (W1l) indoor module, we recommend the following steps to make sure it

works properly and does the most accurate measurements:

1. To install the device, select the location where the device is the most protected from the direct

sunlight and from the heat from radiators.

PLEASE NOTE: When installing the device it is necessary to take into account the maximum

distance from which your mobile phone is able to read the data from the device. This distance

depends on a specific type of phone and the obstacles surrounding it. In the interior, where

the signal can get distorted by walls or other interior obstacles, its range could be up to 10-15

meters.

2. If you decide to hang the device on the wall, please use the enclosed magnetic holder. The

correct installation on the wall will ensure the easy handling with the device in the future (e.g. in

case of replacing the batteries).

3. Screw the magnetic holder on the chosen spot. We recommend using the enclosed dowels and

screws for installation of the device. Install the holder in such a way so that the text of the logo

iQG is on the top – see picture below.

4. Attach the back side of the Weam to the holder. The magnets in the holder will ensure its proper

installment. If the holder has been installed properly, the holes for sensors on the device should

be facing the floor. See the picture below.

Installing Weam Application for Android Devices

1. Download and install the Weam App through Google Play Store. To search for this app enter the

following - iqgadget Weam, or scan the QR code in the image below.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have not found this app on Google Play Store it is probably because your

mobile phone or smartphone is not compatible with the Weam - see the section Prerequisites

of Usage above.

2. Start the Weam app and make sure your Weam weather station is turned on and within the

reach of your mobile phone. If the Bluetooth interface has not been enabled, the application will

ask for the permission to activate it.

3. The display of your smartphone displays overview screen. It may slightly vary depending on the

type of your smartphone. It displays the current temperature measured by the devices within

the range of your smartphone. The image below is a smartphone screen showing 2 Weam

devices in its range. After clicking on the device it will display the next values which the device

regularly measures.

Installing Weam Application for Apple Devices

1. Download and install the Weam App through Apple App Store. To search for this app enter the

following - iqgadget Weam, or scan the QR code in the image below.

mobile phone or smartphone is not compatible with the Weam app - see the section

Prerequisites of Usage above.
