whenprompted,checkthatafresh9Vbatteryisinstalledcorrectlyintherearbattery
compartment.

1. SwitchthemeterONusingthepowerbutton.
2. Holdtheprobesothattheairentersthevanefromtherearofthemeter.
3. ReadtheairvelocitymeasurementsontheLCD.

1. SwitchthemeterON.
2. PressandholdtheMAXAVGbuttonfor2seconds.
3. Theunitofmeasurewillsteptothenextunitofmeasureonthelistbelow
4. Repeatstep3untilthedesiredunitofmeasureisselected.

4. Toresettherecordhistory,switchthemeterOFFthenbackONagain.
LCDBacklight
TheLCDbacklightswitchesONautomaticallywhentheambientlightdimsbelowthethreshold.
TheambientlightsensorislocateddirectlyabovetheLCDwindow.Totestthebacklight,cover
theambientlightsensorandtheLCDbacklightshouldimmediatelyswitchON.

Cleaningandstorage
1. Meterhousingonly:Cleanwithadampclothandmilddetergentwhennecessary.Donotuse
solventsorabrasives.
2. Donotattempttointroduceliquidintothevaneareawhencleaning.
3. Storethemeterinanareawithmoderatetemperatureandhumidity.
BatteryReplacement
ThebatterysymbolappearsontheLCDwhenthe9Vbatteryneedstobereplaced.
Replacethe9Vbatteryasfollows:
1. SwitchthemeterOFFifnecessary.
2. Removetherearbatterycompartmentcoverbyslidingthecompartmentcoverdownward.
3. Replacethe9Vbatterycarefully.
4. Situateandstow
theredandblackwiresoverthetopofthebatterysothatthebatterycan
fitcorrectlyandsothatthecompartmentcanclosecorrectly.Usecautiontoavoidcrimping
thewireswhenclosingthecompartmentcover.
5. Alwaysreassemblethemeterbeforeoperating.
Neverdisposeofusedbatteriesorrechargeablebatteriesinhouseholdwaste.
Asconsumers,usersarelegallyrequiredtotakeusedbatteriestoappropriate
collectionsites,theretailstorewhere thebatterieswerepurchased,orwherever
batteriesaresold.
Disposal:Donotdisposeofthisinstrumentinhouseholdwaste.Theuseris
obligatedtotakeendoflifedevicestoadesignatedcollectionpointforthedisposal
ofelectricalandelectronicequipment.
