WARNING
Fitting work and connection equipment expansion should never be done by any other
than a qualified installation specialist.
• Incorrect fitting may cause equipment to fall, resulting in injury.
Include a safety factor when considering the strength of the proposed fitting location.
• If strength is not sufficient the equipment may fall, resulting in injury.
When expanding connection equipment, be sure to prevent lock release.
• This may cause injury.
Do not fit at a location that cannot bear the load.
• If the fitting location lacks sufficient strength the equipment may fall.
CAUTION
Do not fit at any locations subject to humidity, dust, smoke, steam or heat.
• This may have an adverse effect on the plasma TV and cause fire or electric shock.
The work of fitting or removing the plasma TV must be performed by at least two people.
• The plasma TV may fall and cause injury.
Do not fit facing upwards, sideways or upside down.
• This may cause heat to build up inside the plasma TV unit, resulting in a fire.
Provide spacing around the plasma TV of at least 100 mm (3
15
/16 inches ) to the top and
right side, at least 300 mm (11
13
/16 inches ) to the left side, at least 60 mm (2
23
/64 inches )
to the bottom and at least 42 mm (1
21
/32 inches ) to the rear.
• The plasma TV unit has air blow holes on the top, and air suction holes on the bottom and rear.
Covering these may result in a fire.
1) Exercise care when selecting the location for the TV because it may discolor or deform due to light or heat if it
is placed where it is exposed to direct sunlight, or near a heater.
2) Upkeep
Wipe with a dry cloth. If the unit is extremely soiled, first wipe off soiling with a neutral detergent diluted in
water, and then wipe with a dry cloth. Do not use cleaners such as benzene, thinner or furniture wax because
they may cause paint peeling. (If using a chemical wiping cloth, follow any precautions included.)
3) Do not affix adhesive tape or stickers to the product. Either may stain the wall hanging bracket or surface of the
wiring cover for close-to-the-wall installation.

TY-WK42PV2W Wall hanging bracket (Vertical mounting type)
Precautions for wall hanging bracket fitting
The wall hanging bracket is for use in attaching a plasma TV unit to a vertical wall for viewing. Do not fit to
any surface other than a vertical wall.
The equipment has a lock mechanism on the left side, so provide at least 300 mm (11
13
/
16 inches ) of
space from the wall surface.
To ensure correct plasma TV performance and prevent trouble, do not fit at any of the following locations.
• Near sprinklers or fire/smoke detectors
• Where there is a risk of exposure to vibration or impact
• Near high-voltage wires or dynamic power supplies
• Locations exposed to air blown from heating equipment
Fit using techniques suited to the structure and materials of the fitting location.
Use commercially available M6 screws suited to the wall surface material (wood, steel frame, concrete etc.)
for fitting the bracket to the wall.
Fit so there is no contact between the attachment screws or power cord and any metal inside the wall.
For the TV power supply plug, use a power supply outlet that can be reached easily.
Ensure good air flow so that the equipment ambient temperature does not exceed 40°C. Failure to do this
may cause heat to build up inside the plasma TV, resulting in malfunction.

Fitting procedure
(
TY

WK42PV2W
)
1. Confirm the strength of the proposed fitting location
The weight of the wall hanging bracket is approximately 6 kg (13 Ib.). The plasma TV unit attached
to the wall hanging bracket weighs approximately 29.5 (65 Ib.) to 35 kg (77 Ib.).
Check the wall strength at the 6 attachment locations by referring to the dimension drawing of the
wall hanging bracket (given below), and provide adequate reinforcement if strength is not sufficient.
2. Fit wall hanging bracket to wall
• Fit so that the arrow marks on the wall hanging bracket point upward.
• If the wall consists of a material such as concrete and bolts or nuts must be embedded beforehand,
determine the hole positions by aligning using the actual wall hanging bracket, or calculate hole positions
based on the dimension drawing, and then embed "M6" bolts or nuts.
When embedding bolts, locate so that the bolts protrude from the wall
by 10 mm
(
25
/64 inches
)
to 15 mm
(
19
/32 inches
)
.
Fitting procedure
(1) Fasten the screw at the top center hole first.
(2) Using a level, correct any bracket inclination, and then fasten screws
at the remaining 5 locations.
There are 22 holes in the wall hanging bracket. If the wall material is wood, and adequate attachment
strength cannot be ensured by fastening at the 6 points at right, use as many spare holes as necessary.
However, exercise care because some wall materials may crack if screws are located too close together.
The following dimensions are important. Do not fit at any location where these dimensions cannot be
secured.
• Use commercially available M6 screws suited to the wall surface material (wood, steel frame, concrete etc.)
for fitting the bracket to the wall.
