Known Issues and Limitations
1. On “Manual connection” mode, USB250 will not reconnect automatically if the link to the BTS is lost.
2. EAP ID request messages may not be acknowledged by the CPE. Final NE is delayed and connection
is established.
3. Overheat false alert may appear and stop the CPE functionality. The user should reconnect the USB
dongle to the USB port and work normally.
4. OTA SW upgrade with OMA-DM is performed in "Alternate Download" Mode setting at the server side.
"Inline Download" Mode is not supported.
5. MS does not move to idle mode when setting the “Idle Mode Inactivity Timer” to less than 5 seconds in
the Settings > Advanced menu.
6. NAP ID priority functions in CAPL mode only. Refer to NAP ID Function
Description below for further
details.
NAP ID Function Description
NAP ID Filter enabled:
1. The NAP ID of CAPL scan list 1 is used to filter BS when doing CAPL scan with scan list 1, so does the
one of CAPL scan list 2. List 1 or list 2 is chosen according to their priority.
2. For other scan types, NAP IDs will also be used to filter BSs, but priority is not taken into consideration.
For example, if there are two BSs: BS1 (00:01:01:aa:bb:cc) and BS2 (00:01:02:dd:ee:ff) and the settings of
WCM are:
CAPL scan type is enabled.
NAP ID filter is enabled.
NAP ID for CAPL scan list 1: 257 (00:01:01)
BreezeMAX USB 250 Ver.2.0 GA Release Notes Page 4 of 6
NAP ID for CAPL scan list 2: 258 (00:01:02)
When using CAPL scan with scan list 1, the WCM will only try to perform NE with BS1. Also, WCM will only
try to do NE with BS2 when using CAPL scan with scan list 2.
When performing other kinds of scan types, WCM will try to do NE with BS1 and BS2.
For CAPL scan, NAP ID priority works according to the priority setting of the CAPL scan list.
Scanning process:
If the option "Automatically Connects When CM Starts" is enabled, the scan procedure will not stop if WCM
cannot find any BS. If WCM can find BSs but failed during network entry, the warning message "connection
failure" is displayed. The pop-up message alerts the end user to check the settings.
