Once the magnet (smaller part with the handle) is moved away from the reed switch (built into the larger part), the unit will send an
alarm signal to your smart phone via your home/business WIFI connecon. Such signal is selectable as an Alarm Sound + Nofica-
on, Noficaon Sound + Noficaon or just a silent Noficaon. By using our powerful free APP and free worldwide cloud service,
a user can monitor the safety or security of a locaon ANYTIME, ANYWHERE!

Congratulaons on your purchase of this powerful WIFI Panic Knob. This product works together with your smart phone and
internet via WIFI. Please check that your smart phone is either an Android or IOS (iPhone) and that the latest firmware has been
installed. Please also check that your WIFI router is working properly and that its operang manual confirms that it operates on 2.4
GHz with WPA/WPA2 encrypon.

Before powering up the Sensor, please install our free ‘NEXUSHOME ‘ APP onto your phone. The APP is available in an IOS version
on the Apple App Store and an Android version on the Google Play Store. Ensure your phone is connected to WIFI to complete
your account setup.
Once downloaded, click and open the APP. The following message will appear. Please click OK.
Now complete your User Profile by inpung your email address and a 6 digit password. Click the REGISTER buon, check your
email and click the link in the email from “Nefy” to complete registraon.
Aer compleng the APP registraon, you are now ready to setup each Sensor.
Carefully unscrew and open the baery cover. Insert two new, good quality
Alkaline AAA baeries, ensuring correct polarity.
Connect the Sensor to your smartphone using the cable that has been
provided
a- one side is a 3.5mm audio jack which you need to plug into the
headphone output of your smartphone.
b- the other side is a micro USB jack which you need to plug into the small
USB socket on the side of the Sensor.
Choose the Building locaon where you eventually wish to permanently install
your Panic Knob. Look at your smart phone at that locaon and ensure you
have a good and steady WIFI connecon there.

Now, exit the APP and open SETTINGS on your smart phone. VERY IMPORTANT. The Sensor will only communicate Alarm signals
to the WIFI router that you are about to “pair” it to. If the Sensor is or goes out of range of that specific router, then it will not
work. This also means that if you have WIFI Extenders/Repeaters in your WIFI network and you wish to install/use the Sensor in
the vicinity of that Extender, rather than the main Router, you will need to pair the Sensor to that Extender and NOT to the Router.
Each Router or Extender has its own unique reference name (or SSID) and this is what you are now going to pair to:
Re-Open the APP and click PROFILE at the boom of the opening HOME page. This will take you to the APP’s SETTINGS
Page. Click “ADD DEVICE/WI-FI SETTING”
You will see the same SSID of the Router/Extender that you selected in your phone’s WIFI Sengs. Enter the password of that
Router or Extender and press PAIR NEW DEVICE.
The Sensor will now start pairing to the Router or Extender and you will see the wheel whirling. It can take up to 60 seconds for a
“pairing successful” message to appear. If you see the message “me out, try again”, move the smartphone, sll with the Sensor
aached, closer to the Router or Extender and repeat the process. Once paring is successful, you can now unplug the cable and
close the baery door. Mount the Panic Knob into a permanent locaon using the double sided tape provided.
Exit the PAIRING Page in the APP by clicking at the top of the screen (iOS only, for Android users press Backwards on your
Smartphone). Then, click at the top of the APP’s SETTING PAGE to return you to the APP’s Home Screen. Now press SECURITY
SENSOR TAG. This will take you to the Alert Mode Screen. This allows you to choose the Sound you will hear on your phone
when an Alarm noficaon is received from both this Sensor and all other Nexus devices you may have paired to your Router.
Click at the boom of the screen. This will take you to the DEVICE page. Here you will see all the Sensors, including any other
type of Nexus sensors that have been paired to the APP.
With SETTINGS open on your smart phone open, check what is showing in “WIFI”. If you just have a main Router, it should be
showing the SSID of this Router. However, if you have a network with one or more extenders, it may also be showing the SSID
of an overlapping Extender as in the picture to the right. In this case, check whether you are closest to the main Router or to
an Extender and select the closest/strongest SSID (i.e. the Router reference name).

Move the magnet away from the reed switch to test the Sensor. You will see the blue LED flash once followed, a few seconds
later by a further two quick flashes, to indicate anoficaon Alert has been sent to the APP. Depending on the Alert Mode
you have chosen, this will be audible or silent. You will see the noficaon appear and the Device will start to
flash with the Alerts me and date stamped alongside. Press the “Refresh” Buon at the top le hand side of the page to
cancel the flashing. If you now press the Device Icon, you will be taken to its HISTORY PAGE which will list the last 30
noficaons
= Short Siren Tone + incoming Noficaon Alert Sound
= No Siren, just an incoming Noficaon Alert Sound
= No Siren, no Alert Sound, just the Noficaon
= No Siren, no Alert Sound and no Noficaon
(although all alerts from the Sensor will sll be listed the DEVICE’s HISTORY page)

How to delete a DEVICE from the APP
Whilst on the DEVICE PAGE, hold and swipe the Devices Descripon to the le of your screen and press
Press this icon to return to the APP’s Alert Mode Screen.
Press this icon to take you to the APP’s Floorplan Screen.
Here you can create personalized Floorplans showing the locaons of Doors and Windows
and individual Sensors (see below)
Ensure that the free ‘NEXUSHOME ‘ APP has been installed on the other Smartphone and complete the registraon process,
following the procedure detailed in “Installing the APP” above.
Press at the top right of the Device Page in the APP on the Smartphone.
Now select the Sensor you wish to share, then press and complete the “Share Device to” box with the other users email
address they used when registering their user profile. Press to exit.
Open the APP on that other Users Smartphone and press PROFILE at the boom of the opening Home Page.
This will take you to the APP’s SETTINGS PAGE. In the secon "Received Device" you will see a number in green. This denotes the
number of Devices that you have selected to share with that User.
Press "Received Device". This will take you to a list of those Devices. The new User can now choose whether to accept or reject
Noficaons from those Devices. Note that the new User can select, separately, on their APP’s Device Alert Page whether such
noficaons are Audible, Silent or Off.
Press to Refresh/Reset the Device Page and stop a flashing Sensor Icon.
Press this Icon, at the top of the page, to return to the APP’s Home Screen
(iOS only, for Android press back on smartphone).
Enables you to share Alert noficaons for a Sensor with any other user who has already
downloaded the Nexus APP. See below for full details. Whilst in this secon, you can
also alter the order in which the Devices are listed on your screen. Press on the
right of the Device whose order you wish to change and then drag it to its new posion
on the screen.
A personalized descripon of the Sensor.
Press the Sensor’s Icon, to go to its HISTORY page and press “WTxx” seen just above the
ID. Complete CHANGE DEVICE NAME and save it.
This is the Device’s unique ID.
Personalized Icon or Photo for the Sensor.
Press the Sensor’s Icon to go to its HISTORY PAGE, then press its Icon
again on this page. Choose “Take photo”, “From album” or “Default
icons” to create a personalized Icon.
Flashing - Indicates a Sensor has sent an Alert noficaon.
Press the Icon to go to the Sensors HISTORY PAGE
Indicates a Low Baery.
Although baeries should connue to last for up to a month aer this
Icon appears, you should change them immediately, respecng the
correct polarity and using good quality Alkaline baeries. Always test a
Sensor aer replacing the baeries.
The Sensor sends a “heartbeat” signal to the Router every 4 hours.
This Icon indicates that contact has been lost between them.
Shows that a Device is acve.
Click on this Icon to toggle the Device to be acve or non-acve
Indicates whether the Sensor is also sending an Alert Signal to the
oponal Nexus Indoor Siren (sending a signal as shown). Press the
Sensors icon to go to DEVICE HISTORY, then press the Siren Icon on
that page to toggle Off

Do not place any other magnets or magnezed materials close to a Sensor as this could cause a false trigger.
Make sure your WIFI router and its signal strength cover all the Sensors locaons. Please note that a WIFI signal may not
penetrate through concrete walls or solid doors and that, if it does, it is usually SEVERELY reduced. You may therefore need to add
one or more WIFI Repeaters to increase signal coverage. If you do this, then ensure that individual devices are paired to the
closest Repeater or Router. Since all Router/Repeater SSID’s are different, you must ensure that the Sensor is paired to the correct
SSID (see seng up your WIFI Sensor above).
Aer installing a Sensor, please test it at least a couple of mes to check the performance.
CANNOT PAIR THE SENSOR SUCCESSFULLY
Check whether the Sensor has enough baery power. Always use new, good quality, Alkaline baeries.
If there are too many WIFI connecons around your Sensor, turn them off to avoid any disturbance and pair again.
Check that the router is working properly and that it operates on 2.4GHz
Check that the SSID and password are correct.
DOESN’T WORK PROPERLY or LOSS OF SIGNAL ICON APPEARS
Check whether the Sensor is within coverage of your WIFI router/repeater. Move the Sensor or Router to a different locaon.
Check that the router is working properly
Check the power level of the tag. If it shows a baery low icon in the APP, please replace the baeries.
Check that the magnet and reed switch are aligned correctly with the arrows directly opposite each other.
Do not drop, disassemble, open, crush, bend, deform, puncture, shred, microwave, incinerate, paint, or insert foreign objects into
the Sensor. Such acons could result in an electric shock. Clean the Sensor only with a dry cloth.
Do not expose the Sensor to extremely high or low temperatures or leave them in direct sunlight for extended periods of me.
Do not leave the Sensor near open flames such as cookers, candles or fireplaces.
Its dangerous if you replace baeries incorrectly or with the wrong polarity. You should only use the same or equivalent type of
baery to replace a damaged or drained one. The Baery should not be exposed to an overheang environment such as extreme
sunshine or fire. Always use a good quality Alkaline baery for best results.
Swipe the screen to the Le to reach a new Floorplan
Press to add an addional Floorplan.
Press to show the list of all your Devices. Then press on an individual device
from that list to add it to that Floorplan. Press to add an addional Floorplan.
Drag a Device Icon here to delete it from that Floorplan.
Press to turn Devices on this page On/Off .
Press to edit the Floorplan on the screen. This will then take you to the screen
below le.
Press to remove all from this Floorplan
