DETAILS
DETAILS
Prevents shut o due to overloading from the load limiter shut o device.
It is able to control up to 8 loads by commanding the same number of relay actua-
tors.
It can be used with a single phase line with a power of up to 15kW and is provided
with a TA (current transformer).
The module o ers 5 di erent powers which correspond to service contracts: 3kw,
4.5kw, 6kw, 10kw and 15 kw. Connect the TA to terminal 7 ( C ) and to the terminal
which corresponds to the chosen supply.
Functioning :
- Start uP - Upon start up, after 5 seconds the module sends the command to con-
nect to each individual utility.
The fi rst utility to attach will be that with the highest number, descending to the
lowest. The time between one reconnection and the next depends on the time set in
"Following command delay."
If excessive consumption is detected by the module during this stage, the procedure
is interrupted and it passes to normal operation.
- Exceeding Thresholds - If consumption exceeds the "Immediate Release"
threshold, the fi rst attached utility is released and the LED status lights up (yellow
LED located at the bottom left of the module) and until consumption does not fall
below "Immediate Release, reactivation hysteresis", the successive utilities will be
released at 1 second intervals.
If consumption exceeds the "Timed Release" value, the LED status will begin to fl ash
and after the "timed delay threshold" time the module will release the fi rst attached
utility and the LED status will remain on. The release and reconnection of the utilities
will be explained in the sections below.
- Utility release - If the released utility has led to a decrease in consumption less
This page has been intentionally left
blank.
than the "Power tolerance" after the "following command delay" time, the utility will
be reconnected as it is considered negligible, and after an additional "following com-
mand delay" time, the next utility will be released.
If the released utility caused a decrease in consumption greater than the "power
tolerance" but lesser than the "Timed Release" - "Reactivation hysteresis", then
after the "following command delay" time, the next utility will be released.
If the released utility led to a decrease in consumption greater than "Timed Release"
- "Reactivation hysteresis", then the module will not release any other utilities.
- Reattach utilities - To reattach a utility, the OFF time must have passed and
the consumption measured + "theoretical consumption" must be less than "Timed
Release" - "Reactivation Hysteresis".
Note:
If the module already has utilities released and the consumption increases, the mod-
ule will begin to release utilities that previously may not have been considered active.
MODULE PROGRAMMING TABLE KEY TO PROGRAMMING SYMBOLS
KEY TO PROGRAMMING SYMBOLS
ID-Module address: all the modules are provided with a pre-set address printed
on the ID tag, if the address is not shown, the factory address is 1. This number
must be changed in order to keep the system address free for installation of other
modules. Use the HeiBus program to program the module. Modules with the same
address cannot coexist within the same system.
Description: Free description of the module (e.g.: General Framework Module Posi-
tion QG1, etc.).
Supply contract: It is possible to choose up to 5 di erent supplies. This requires
the TA to be connected to the module. Connect a wire to the common and the
second one to the terminal which corresponds to the supply. Set both timed release
and immediate release to standard values in automatic.
Timed Release: this is the power at which release must occur, after the time
indicated as the timed Delay threshold has passed.
Immediate Release: this is the power at which release must occur without any
time.
Notifi cation: allows control of one or more outputs from a digital module to notify
release:
NU (Not Used): does not notify release.
DM (Digital Module): activates one or more outputs of a digital module, in
accordance with that specifi ed in the Number fi eld (serial number of the module to
command) and in Output(s) (number of the outputs to command).
Advanced: Opens a window that allows additional parameters to be set. PLEASE
NOTE: adjusting these parameters is NOT recommended.
Reactivation hysteresis: this is the power hysteresis after which the load will be
reactivated (value displayed W).
Power Tolerance: is the power value below which the utility load is considered
negligible. In this case the utility will always remain active. (value shown W)
Timed delay threshold: this is the minimum time delay before releasing the
rst utility in the case that the threshold is activated with timed activation (value
expressed in minutes).

UTILITIES
Description: Free form description of the Utility (e.g. air conditioning, washing
machine, etc.).
Consumption: the consumption (Watt) of the utility. Allows an estimate for reactiva-
tion of a utility once the Time O has passed.
Time o : the minimum time (in minutes) that a utility must remain o before at-
tempting reactivation. Reactivation is in any case conditional to the load remaining
the release level thresholds.
Destination: allows specifi cation of what will be commanded with a switch on or
switch o command in the case that release or reactivation thresholds are exceeded.
This can be:
NU (Not Used): no command is sent to the bus.
DM (Digital Module): commands one or more outputs of a digital module, in
accordance with that specifi ed in the Number fi eld (serial number of the module to
command), in Output(s) (number of the outputs to command), in advanced output
control (C), and in output restore mode (M).
Z (Zone): sends a zone forcing command to the bus, in accordance with that
specifi ed in the Number (zone number to be commanded) fi eld, and in advanced
mode, restore outputs (M).
RC (Remote Control): sends a message as an input programmed in RC mode, to
manage alarms or indicators on PC, PLC, etc.

the same address. For programming details, please refer to the HeiBus program.
METHOD 1 (via DRUSB bus interface)
Connect the PC to the bus using the DRUSB serial interface and power the module
using the appropriate power supply. Ensure that the setting "Program HeiBus via
Touch Screen" is disabled in the "Preferences" section of the HeiBus program.
METHOD 2 (via touch screen)

CONNECTION TO THE BUS AND NETWORK
Microwave
PROBLEM ANALYSIS SOLUTION
The module
does not
respond to the
query.
Blue LED always on
The bus terminal is connected to
GND. Check the connections of all
the terminals with the bus.
A module on the bus is not
powered (the 24V terminal is
disconnected).
I can communicate with the bus
(modules with blue LEDs switch
on), but the blue LED is always
o .
The module has no power or is not
connected to the rest of the bus.
Check the connections of all the
terminals with the bus.
I can communicate with the bus
(modules with blue LEDs switch
on) and the blue LED fl ashes
like the other modules.
Separate the module from the rest
of the bus, power it, and carry out
a complete search for addresses.
There may be modules with the
same address.
The power
reading is
incorrect.
The module reads a power
higher than is true.
Check the connection to the TA, it
should correspond with the supply
contract.
The module reads a power
lower than is true.
Check the connection to the TA, it
should correspond with the supply
contract.
The module does not read the
power.
Check the connection to the TA for
the line to be tested.
UTILITY SIDE
The connection to the TA (Ammeter Transformer) does not have polarity.
For the opening through the TA, pass through only the phase.
Below is an example of a load control connection and a utility.
WARNING:
Respect the polarity of the connection.
For the bus connection, use of the 009DC3X10NG4 cable is recommended (GR4,
FR0R 300/500V type, 3x1mm² section).
The length of the TA connection cable must not exceed that indicated under the
technical characteristics. To limit the e ects of disturbances on TA cables, we
recommend not exceeding 5 m in length.
