UNPACKTHEPRESSUREWASHER
1. Removeeverythingfrom carton except pressurewasher,

of unit. Tighten by hand. Byloosening both knobs to the
middle section of the attachmentbolt, the upper handle
canfold forward to store fiat atop the cold engine.

ASSEMBLINGPRESSUREWASHER
Your Craftsmanpressure washer will needassembly before
operation:
1. Fill out and sendin registration card.
2. Attach handle and accessorytray.
3. Connectdetergent siphon hoseto pump.
4. Add oil to engine crankcase.
5. Add fuel to fuel tank.

insert multi-colored quick connect nozzlesand other
supplied accessoriesin spacesprovided in accessory
tray. SeeHow to UseAccessory Tray.
6. Connectpressure hose to spray gun and pump.

Align hosewrap (A) to the back side of accessorytray.
Locate notch with "unlock"icon (B) on hose wrap.
Position notch at top with hosewrap in vertical position.
Clips in the back of accessorytray should slide into the
grooves on the inside surface of hosewrap. Slide hose
wrap on back of accessorytray and rotate 1/8 turn until
"locked"icon (6) is in vertical position. Hosewrap is
easily removed from the accessorytray for wrapping and
unwrapping of the high pressure hose. A clip to secure
the hoseon the reel makesit easyto wrap the hose
while it is detachedfrom the accessorytray.
Attach bottle brackets (D) to handle with carriage bolts
(E) and black plastic knobs (F). Tighten by hand.

The pressure washer is equipped with two detergent
siphoning hoses.
ProjectPro PerfectMixTM Siphon
Bluetube with blue bottle cap:
,._, Whenusing the blue PerfectiViixTMsiphon, use
the PerfectMWMExtremeConcentratestraight
from the bottle.
StandardSiphonTube
Cleartube with filter:
When using the clear siphon tube, dilute
1 part PerfectlViixTMExtremeConcentrate
to 16 parts water (4 ozof concentrate
makes1/2 gallon of mix.)
Attach Project Pro® PerfectMix TM Siphon to
Pump
Attach the hose end of the blue PerfectiVlixTMSiphon (6) to
the barbed hosefitting (I-I)on the pump.
Attach PerfectMix TM Detergent Siphon to
Concentrate BotUe
PlacePerfectMixTMbottle (not included) in the wire-form
bracketon the handle. Removecap from bottle and insert the
PerfectMixTMSiphon (6). Screw the siphon unit to the top of
the bottle (J). Usethe clip on the cap (1{)to snap siphon to
wire form bracketwhen siphon is not in a concentrate bottle.
AddEngineOil
1. Placepressure washer on a flat, levelsurface.
2. Cleanarea around oil fill and remove yellow oil fill
cap/dipstick.
3. Using oil funnel (optional), slowly pour contents of
provided oil bottle into oil fill opening.
NOTICE Improper treatment of pressure washer can
damage it and shorten its life.
DO NOTattempt to crank or start the engine beforeit has been
properly servicedwith the recommended oil. This may result in an
enginefailure.
4. Replaceoil fill cap/dipstick and fully tighten.
Add Fuel
A. WARNING Fueland its vapors are extremely

WHEN ADDINGFUEL
Turn pressure washerOFFand let it cool at least2 minutes
before removing fuel cap. Loosencapslowly to relievepressure
in tank.
Fill fuel tank outdoors.
DONOToverfill tank. Allow spacefor fuel expansion.
If fuel spills, wait until it evaporatesbefore starting engine.
Keepfuel awayfrom sparks, open flames, pilot lights, heat,and
other ignition sources.
DONOTlight a cigarette or smoke.
1. Useclean, fresh, regular unleadedfuel with a minimum
of 86 octane with equipment. DONOTmix oil with fuel.
2. Placepressurewasher on a levelsurface. Cleanarea
around fuel fill cap, remove cap.
3. Slowly add regular unleadedfuel to bottom of fuel level
limit in neck of fuel tank. Becareful not to overfill.

MA×IMUM FUEL LEVEL
Install fuel cap and allow any spilled fuel to evaporate
beforestarting engine.
CAUTION!Alcohol-blendedfuels (calledgasohol, ethanol or
methanol) canattract moisture, which leadsto separation and
formation of acids during storage.Acidic gascandamagethe
fuel system of an enginewhile in storage.
To avoid engine problems, the fuel system should be emptied
beforestorage of 30 days or longer. Drainthe fuel tank, start
the engineand let it run until the fuel lines and carburetor are
empty. Usefresh fuel next season.See Storagefor additional
information.
NEVERuse engine or carburetor cleaner products in the fuel
tank as permanent damagemay occur.
Connect Hose and Water Supply to Pump
NOTICE DONOTrun the pump without the water supply
connectedand turned on.
= Damagetoequipmentresultingfrom failuretofollowthis
instructionwillvoidwarranty.
4. Runwater through garden hosefor 30 secondsto flush
it of debris. Turn off water.
NOTICE DONOTsiphon standing water for the water
supply. Use ONLYcold water (less than 100°F).
5. Connectgarden hose(not to exceed50 feet in length) to
water inlet. Tighten by hand.
NOTICE Removeand discard the shipping caps from the
pump's high pressure outlet and water inlet before attaching
hoses.
1. Uncoil high pressure hose and attachone end of hoseto
baseof spray gun. Tighten by hand.

outlet on pump. Tighten by hand.

Beforeconnectinggarden hoseto water inlet, inspect
inlet screen (A). Cleanscreen if it contains debris or have
it replacedif damaged.DONOTrunpressurewasher if
inlet screenis damaged or missing.
NOTICE Using a OneWay Valve (vacuumbreakeror check
valve) at pump inlet can cause pump or inlet connector
damage.
ThereMUSTbeatleasttenfeetofunrestrictedgardenhose
betweenthepressurewasherinletandanydevice,suchasa
vacuumbreakeror checkvalve.
Damageto equipment resulting from failure to follow this
instruction will void warranty.

6. Turn ONthe water, press red button (B) on the gun and
squeezethe trigger to purge the pump system of air and
impurities.
Checklist Before Starting Engine
Reviewthe unit to ensureyou haveperformed all of the
following:
1. Besure to read SafetyRules and Operationsections
before using the pressure washer.
2. Makesure handleis in placeand secure.

Changeoil while engine isstill warmfrom running,as
follows:
1. Drainfuel tank by running pressurewasher until fuel
tank is empty.
2. Disconnectspark plug wire and keepit awayfrom spark
plug.
3. Cleanareaaround oil fill, remove oil fiii cap/dipstick.
Wipe dipstick clean.
4. Tip your pressure washer toward the oil fill neckto drain
oil into a suitable container. Whencrankcase is empty,
return pressure washer to upright position.
5. Slowly pour recommendedoil (approximately 18 oz.)
into oil fill opening. Pauseto permit oil to settle. Fill to
upper limit mark on dipstick.
6. Replaceand tighten dipstick.
7. Wipe up any remaining oil.
8. Reconnectspark plug wire to spark plug.

ServiceAir Cleaner
Your enginewill not run properly and may be damaged ifyou
run it with a dirty air cleaner.Service more often if operating
under dirty or dusty conditions. Replacementsare available
at your local Searsservicecenter.
Toservice the air cleaner, foJlowthesesteps:
1. Press latch tabs (A) on top of air cleanercover (B), and
remove cover.
2. Carefully removeair cleaner(C) from base(D).
3. Cleanair cleanerby tapping it severaltimes on a hard
surfaceto removedirt, or blow compressed air (not to
exceed30 psi) through air cleanerfrom cleanside that
facesengine.
NOTICE NEVERtry to brush off dirt. Brushing will force dirt
into thefibers.
4. Wipe dirt from air cleanerbody and cover using a moist
rag. Be careful to prevent dirt from enteringair duct (E)
that leadsto the carburetor.
5. Install clean(or new)air cleaner in base. Air cleaner
must fit securely in base.
6. Reinstall air cleanercover.

Service Spark Plug
Changingthe spark plug will helpyour engine to start easier
and run better.
1. Disconnectthe capfrom the spark plug and clean area
around spark plug.
2. Removeand inspect spark plug.
3. Replacespark plug if electrodesare worn, or if insulator
is cracked or chipped.
4. For replacement,use recommendedspark plug, NGK
BPR6ES.
5. Checkelectrode gap with wire feelergauge and set gap
at 0.028-0.031 inches 0.70-0.80 mm), if necessary.
6A. When reinstalling original spark plug, tighten 1/8-1/4
turn after the spark plug seatsto compress the washer.
6B. When installing newspark plug, tighten 1/2 turn after
the spark plug seatsto compress the washer.
7. Attach the spark plug capto the spark plug.

Carburetor
If you think your carburetor needsadjusting, seeyour
nearestSearsservice center. Engineperformance may be
affected ataltitudes above 5000 feet. Foroperation at higher
elevations,contact your nearestSearsservice center.
inspect Muffler and Spark Arrester
inspect the muffler for cracks,corrosion, or other damage.
Removethe spark arrester, if equipped,and inspectfor
damageor carbon blockage,if replacementparts are required,
makesure to use only original equipment replacementparts.

serious burns.
_ Exhaust heat/gases can ignite
combustibles, structures or damage
fuel tank causing a fire.
DO NOTtouch hot parts and AVOIDhot exhaust gases.
Allow equipment to cool beforetouching.
Keepat least5 feet (152 cm) of clearanceon all sides of
pressure washer including overhead.

brush-covered, or grass-covered land unlessthe exhaust
system is equippedwith a spark arrester,as defined in Section
4442, maintained ineffective working order. Otherstates or

Contactthe original equipment manufacturer,retailer, or dealer
to obtain a sparkarrester designed for the exhaustsystem
installed onthis engine.
Replacementparts must bethe same and installed in the same
position as the original parts.
