Do not lift or moverangebygraspingdoorhandles,main top,
the maximumallowable wood cabinettemperatures of 194_E
If this range is installedwith cabinets that have a lower
working temperature than 194°F,discoloration, delamination
or melting mayoccur.
Place range ina well lit area.DOnot set range overholesin
the floor or otherlocations where it may be subjectto strong
drafts. Anyopeningin the wall behind the rangeand in the
floorunder the range shouldbe sealed. Makesurethe flow
of cooling/ventilation air is not obstructed belowthe range.
Note:A rangeshould NOTbeinstalled over kitchen carpeting.
High Altitude Notice: Thespecified gasburner ratings
typically apply to elevations up to 2000feet. For higher
altitudes, the ratesmay needto be reducedtoachieve
satisfactory operation.Alocal certified gasservicer wi!! be
ab!eto advise if a reductionis necessarY.
Arisk of rangetip-over existsif the applianceis not installedin
accordancewith the providedinstallationinstructions.Theproper use
of the ANTI-TIPdeviceminimizes the risk ofTIP-OVER.Inusing this
device the consumermust still observethe safetyprecautions as
stated in the USEand CAREMANUALandavoid usingthe ovendoors as
a step stool. Installationinstructions areprovidedfor wood and cement
in either floor or wall. Anyother type of construction may require
special installationtechniques as deemednecessaryto provide
adequatefastening ofthe ANTI-TIPbracketto the floor or wall. The
bracketmust be installed to engagethe RIGHTrear levelingfoot. Install
the bracket asshown in steps8a or 8b through 12.

Electric Supply
Theappliance,when installed,must be electrically groundedin
accordancewith local codes or, in the absenceof local codes,with the
NationalElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70. InCanadathe rangemust be
installedin accordancewith the current CSAStandard C22.1-
CanadianElectrical CodePart1.
Electrical Supply Connection
Therange requires 120volts,60 cycle alternating current from a
dedicated groundedoutlet with a 15 ampcircuit breaker.Seeserial
platefor rating, locatedon flip-up plate at the rear of upperleft-hand
corner of backguard.Usermay experienceoccasional circuit tripping if
GroundFaultCircuit Interrupter (GFCl)outlet or breaker is in use.
Gas Supply
Installationof thisrangemustconformwith localcodesor,inthe
absenceoflocalcodes,with theNational FuelGasCode,ANSIZ223.1-
latestedition.In Canadathe rangemustbeinstalledin accordance
withthecurrentCGAStandardCAN/CGA-B149- InstallationCodesfor
GasBurningAppliancesand Equipmentand/orlocalcodes.
In TheCommonwealthOf Massachusetts
Thisproductmustbe installedbya licensedplumberorgasfitter when
installedwithin the CommonwealthofMassachusetts.A"T" handle
typemanualgasvalvemustbe installedin thegas supplylineto this
appliance.Aflexiblegasconnector,when used,mustnotexceeda
lengthofthree(3)feet / 36 inches.
Gas leaks mayoccurin yoursystemand result in a dangerous
situation. Gasleaks may not be detectedbysmell alone.Gas
suppliers recommendyou purchaseandinstall an ULapproved
gas detector.Install and use in accordancewith manufacturerls
instructions.
A QUALIFIED SERVICEMAN OR GASAPPLIANCE INSTALLER
MUST MAKETHEGAS SUPPLYCONNECTION.Leak testing of the
appliance shall be conducted by the installer according to the
instructions given in Step 6.
Applya non-corrosiveleak detection fluid to all joints andfittings in
the gas connectionbetween the supply lineshut-off valve and the
range.Include gasfittings andjoints in the rangeif connectionswere
disturbed duringinstallation. Checkfor leaks! Bubblesappearing
aroundfittings andconnectionswill indicatea leak. If a leakappears,
turn off supply line gasshut-off valve,tighten connections,turn on the
supply line gasshut off valve,and retest for leaks.
CAUTION:NEVERCHECK FORLEAKSWITH A FLAME.WHEN
LEAKCHECKIS COMPLETE,WIPE OFFALL RESIDUE.

pressuretestingofthe gassupply pipingsystemat test
pressuresequaltoor lessthan1/2 Ibs./sq.in. (3.5kPa)(13.8
in. water column).
A GASSHUT-OFFVALVESHOULDBEPUTINANACCESSIBLELOCATION
INTHESUPPLYLINEAHEADOFTHERANGE,FORTURNINGONAND
TURNINGOFFGASSUPPLY.Rangeis to be connectedto house piping
with flexible metal connectorsfor gasappliances.CONNECTORNUTS
MUSTNOTBECONNECTEDDIRECTLYTOPIPETHREADS.THE
CONNECTORSMUSTBEINSTALLEDWITHADAPTORSPROVIDEDWITH
THECONNECTOR.
Thehouse piping and/or rangeconnector usedto connect the rangeto
the main gas supply must beclean,free of metalshavings,rust, dirt
and liquids (oil or water). Dirt,etc. in the supply lines canwork its way
intothe rangemanifold andin turn causefailure of the gasvalvesor
controls andclog burners and/or pilot orifices.
Alwaysuse anew flexible connector.Do not use exsisting flexible
connector.
NOTE:It is recommendedtousea CSAcertified flexible connectornolongerthan 36" (91.4 cm) with aminimum BTU/HRrating of88,200.

Follow these procedures to remove appliance for servicing:
1. Sliderangeforward to disengagerangefrom the anti-tip bracket.
2. Shutoff gassupply toappliance.
3. Disconnectelectricalsupply to appliance,if equipped.
4. Disconnectgas supply tubingtoappliance.
5. Reverseproceduretoreinstall. If gaslinehasbeendisconnected, THE APPLIANCE
checkfor gas leaksafter reconnection.
6.Topreventrange from accidentallytipping,range mustbe securedto thefloor by sliding rearlevelinglegintothe anti-tip bracket.
NOTE:A qualified servicer shoulddisconnect andreconnect the gas supply.Theservicer MUSTfollow installation instructions provided with the gas
appliance connector andthe warning label attachedto the connector.
Whenyour rangerequires service or replacement parts,contact your dealer or authorized service agency.Pleasegive the complete model and serial
number of the rangewhich is locatedon flip-up plate at the rear of upperleft-hand corner or centerof backguard.
