licensedelectricians.,Allwiring shouldconformto LocalandNationalElectricalCodes.

Thisrangerequiresa singlephasethree wire 120/240or a 120/208volt,60 Hz,AC

circuit.Wiringcodesrequireaseparatecircuit be runfrom themain entrancepanelto

the rangeandthat it beequippedwith separatedisconnectswitch andfuses,either in

the mainentrancepanelor in a separateswitchandfuse box.

Theelectricalconnectiontothis unitisdesignedonlyforusewith aflexiblepowercord.All

unitsareshippedwith aspeciallydesigned4-wireservicecord.Thiscordshouldbeusedon

In The CommonwealthOfMassachusetts

Thisproduct must be installedby a licensed plumber or gasfitter when installed

within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.A"T" handletype manual gasvalve

must be installed in the gas supply line tothis appliance.Aflexible gas connector,

when used, must net exceed a length of three (3) feet / 36 inches.

Gas Supply

Installationof thisrangemust conform with localcodes or,inthe absenceof

localcodes,with theNationalFuelGasCode,ANSIZ223.1-1atestedition.In

Canadathe rangemust be installedin accordancewith the current CGA

Standard CAN/CGA-B149- Installation Codesfor GasBurningAppliances and

Equipment and/or local codes.

A QUALIFIEDSERVICEMANORGASAPPLIANCEINSTALLERMUST

MAKETHEGASSUPPLYCONNECTION.Leaktesting oftheappliance

shall be conductedbythe installeraccordingto the instructions

givenin step6,

Apply a non-corrosive leakdetection fluid to all joints and fittings in the gas

connection between the supply line shut-off valve and the range.Include gas

fittings and joints in the rangeif connections were disturbed during installation.

Checkfor leaks! Bubblesappearing aroundfittings and connections will

indicate a leak. Ifa leak appears, turn off supply line gas shut-off valve, tighten

connections, turn onthe supply line gas shut off valve, andretest for leaks.

CAUTION: NEVER CHECKFOR LEAKS WITH A FLAME. WHEN LEAK

CHECK IS COMPLETE,WIPE OFFALL RESIDUE.

Ibs./sq.in. (3.5 kPa)(13.8 in.water column).

AGASSHUT-OFFVALVESHOULDBEPUTINANACCESSIBLELOCATIONINTHE

SUPPLYLINEAHEADOFTHERANGE,FORTURNINGONANDTURNINGOFFGAS

SUPPLY.Range is to be connectedto house pipingwith flexible metal connectors

for gas appliances. CONNECTORNUTSMUSTNOTBECONNECTEDDIRECTLYTO

PIPETHREADS.THECONNECTORSMUSTBE INSTALLEDWITHADAPTORSPROVIDED

WITHTHECONNECTOR.

Thehouse pipingand/or range connectorused to connectthe rangeto the main gas

supply must beclean, free ef metal shavings,rust,dirt and liquids(oil er water). Dirt,

etc. in the supply lines can work its way into the range manifold and in turn cause

failure ofthe gas valves or controls and clog burners and/or pilot orifices.

Always usea new flexible connector. Donot use existing flexible connector.

NOTE:It is recommendedto usea CSAcertified flexible connectorno longerthan36" (91.4cm) with a minimum BTU/HRrating of 60,000.

Followtheseprocedurestoremoveappliancefor servicing:

1. Slide rangeforward todisengagerangefrom the anti-tipbracket.

2. Shutoffgassupplyto appliance.

3. Disconnectelectricalsupplytoappliance,if equipped.

4. Disconnectgassupplytubingto appliance.

5. Reverseprocedureto reinstall.If gaslinehasbeendisconnected,

checkfor gasleaksafter reconnection.

6.To preventrangefrom accidentallytipping,rangemustbe securedto the floor bysliding rearlevelinglegintothe anti-tip bracket.

THEAPPLIANCE.

NOTE:A qualified servicer should disconnect and reconnect thegas supply. Theservicer MUSTfollow installation instructions provided with the gas appliance connector

and the warning label attached to theconnector,

Whenyour range requires service or replacement parts, contactyour dealer or authorizedservice agency. Pleasegivethe complete model andserial number of the

range which is locatedon flip-up plate at the rear of upper left-hand corner or center of backguard.

ovenor microwave.Theinstallation instructions of the elevated ovenwill specify the minimum acceptable dimensionbetween the cooktop
