Safety Instructions
Safety in the workplace
■ Keep the workplace clean and well lit.
 Untidy or poorly lit areas promote accidents.
■ Do not operate the device in areas where
there is a risk of explosion.
 Electric power tools generate sparks that
could ignite dust or fumes.
■ Keep the device out of the reach of children
and never leave it unattended. When not in
use, keep the device in a safe place out of the
reach of unauthorised persons.
Electrical safety
■ The device must not be operated in a wet or
damp environment. Do not expose the device
to rain.
 If water penetrates into the electrical device,
the risk of an electric shock is increased.
Self and personal protection
■ Persons less than 18 years old must not use
the device. Excepted from this are young per-
sons of 16 and over who are working under
supervision within the scope of their vocational
training.
■ Always remain alert and take the utmost care
when working.
■ Do not use the device if you are tired or under
the inuence of drugs, alcohol or medicines.
 One moment of inattention can result in
severe injuries.
■ Always wear safety glasses and ear
defenders. Wear stout shoes and a safety
helmet.
 The wearing of personal protective equip-
ment, such as non-slip safety shoes, safety
helmet or ear defenders, reduces the risk of
injury.
■ Never carry the device with your nger on the
trigger.
 If the non-mar tip is accidently pressed when
doing so, ring can be unintentionally trig-
gered and cause severe injuries.
■ Ensure that you can always maintain a safe
standing position and maintain your balance
at all times.
 By doing so, you are better able to control
the tool in unexpected situations.
■ Never point the device towards any part of
your body, towards yourself or towards other
persons
Battery hazards
■ If the device is damaged, the following points
must be observed:
• Ensure that any escaping liquids cannot
penetrate into the ground or ground water
• If contamination has already occurred, then
it must be cleared up in accordance with
the relevant national regulations
■ Protect the device against heat.
 If the battery overheats, there is a risk of re.
■ If a battery is defective, liquid can escape out
of the device.
• Do not touch the liquid.
• Clean and check any parts that have come
into contact with the liquid.
■ If a battery is damaged or is used improperly,
dangerous fumes can escape that result in
inammation of the air passages.
• Ensure there is adequate fresh air ventila-
tion and in the event of complaints or pain
see a doctor.
General safety instructions
■ Secure yourself and the device when working
on high or inclined working surfaces.
■ Always visually check the device for damage
before initial use and after transport. Ensure
any damage is repaired by trained service
personnel prior to initial use.
■ Use only genuine Würth accessories
and spare parts.
