RoyalTek MBT-1100

The RoyalTek MBT-1100 is a Bluetooth GPS receiver that can be used to add GPS functionality to your camera. Once paired with your device, it will automatically connect and begin transmitting GPS data, including latitude, longitude, altitude, and UTC time. This data can then be embedded into the EXIF data of your photos, allowing you to easily track your location and share it with others.

The MBT-1100 is compatible with most Bluetooth GPS receivers, and it has been specifically tested to work with the following models:

Nikon D200, D300, D300s, D700, D2X, D2Xs, D2Hs, D3, D3X, and Fujifilm S5Pro.
AK-4N designed for high end Nikon & Fujifilm digital SLRs. When connect a
supported camera with AK-4N, the camera will have wireless function to acquire
GPS data from bluetooth GPS receivers. The GPS data (Latitude, longitude,
altitude, UTC time) will record in the EXIF file of photos when shooting.
Photos can be plotted on a map in Nikon View NX software or Google maps as
well as many other programs and websites.

How AK-4N work?
1. Turn the wireless GPS receiver on
2. Turn the camera off and connect AK-4N on camera¡s ten-pin remote terminal.
(Plug the remote switch to the AK-4N if need when camera is turned off.)
3. Turn the camera on. Camera will connect with GPS receiver automatically within 3
seconds. Do not need any setting. (The initial connection approx 30 seconds.)
After connection, icon will be displayed in the control
panel on top of the camera. icon blink means GPS
receiver did not detected enough satellites. icon keep on means GPS receiver
detected more than three satellites, GPS data will be recorded.
4. Take pictures, GPS data will be recorded with each photograph.
5. AK-4N keep working even when the camera off and sleep, it allow you to turn on and
take photo without waiting.
6. AK-4N will turn off, when camera and GPS receiver both turned off.
7. Turn the camera off and pick it up when not use.
Auto Meter Off
If Enable is selected for GPS > Auto meter off in the setup menu for D300, D300S, D700,
D3 cameras, the exposure meters will turn off automatically after the time specified in the
camera Custom Settings menu. This reduce the drain on the battery.
For D200, D2X, D2XS, and D2HS, these cameras lack a menu option to set Auto meter off,
the camera can¡t enter sleep mode when use GPS device. Auto meter draws much power
from the camera when keep long time working. When use AK-4N, it always provide GPS
data to camera, just turn the camera on or off depends on your shooting needs. Do not to
worry about the GPS acquisition.
