6. HOW TO PROGRAMME THE TIMER
1. Plug the appliance into the mains. The
light on the screen will come on and the
appliance will go into waiting function
with a beep (Fig. 4).
2. The apparatus includes a menu of
programmed cooking options which
includes different cooking categories.
Press the button in order to select
the programmed cooking options menu.
Every time this button is pressed, on the
screen the programming will be
displayed for a different type of food in
accordance with the sequence which is
displayed below (Fig. 5):
a) KEEP WARM
b) RICE
c) VEGETABLE
d) CHICKEN
e) MEAT
f) EGGS
g) FISH
It is possible to modify the programmed
time with the buttons or
3. Also, if you want, you can directly select
a determined time to cook the food with
the buttons or (Fig 6).
4. Once the cooking time has been selected,
press the button .. The pilot light (L)
will come on and the
COOK and MIN
cooking icon will flash (Fig. 7). From this
moment, the timer will start counting.
Caution:
During operation, do not touch the base, the
baskets or the lid given that they get very
hot.
5. When the counter reaches zero, the
appliance will emit a beep twice and will
automatically change to the
KEEP
WARM
function. The icon and MIN will
flash on the screen (Fig.8). During this
period the pilot light will go out and come
on at regular intervals.
6. After keeping the food warm for 20
minutes, the apparatus makes several
beeps and after one minute it will
disconnect automatically.
7. If during the cooking process, you wish
to switch off the apparatus, keep the
button pressed down for a few seconds
. The appliance will emit two
beeps and will switch off.
8. Once you have finished using the
appliance, unplug it from the mains and
let it cool completely before removing
the drip tray (F) and keep it to one side.
9. In order to avoid the food over-cooking,
remove the basket immediately, using a
handle for warm containers and put it on
a plate or on the underside of the lid (A).
If you use the container for rice (C),
remove this carefully holding it on both
sides and, if necessary, use a long
handled kitchen utensil.
Caution
In order to avoid scalding due to hot steam,
use an oven-glove or a handle for hot
containers when removing the lid or the
baskets.
Remove the lid (A) slowly with the inside of
the lid away from you and let the steam
escape gradually. Hold the lid over the unit
to allow the condensation to drain into the
steamer. (Fig 9).
Do not stand close to the appliance during
the cooking process. If you need to check
the progress of the cooking or to stir, use a
long handled utensil.
Caution:
Be very careful when removing the drip tray
(F). Even though some of the unit’s parts
are cold, the water in the deposit and on
the tray can still be hot.
Do not switch the appliance on if the
baskets and the lid are not correctly fitted
on the appliance.
NOTES:
•
In order to reprogramme the cooking
time or stop the cooking at any moment,
simply press the button, and
reprogramme the cooking time by
pressing the buttons or
(even when it is in programmed functions).
• In order to reprogramme the
programmed cooking mode whilst the
appliance is cooling: press this button
to stop the cooking and press
this button in order to
select the new food category required.
• In order to disconnect the appliance,
press and hold this button for 2
seconds.
