Firebird-Systems DCT411 is a set-top box that allows you to watch TV. It comes with an HDMI cable, video/audio cables, a remote control, and two batteries. 2. PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION
2.1 Unpacking
Inspect the carton upon receiving and note any damage to the carton for possible unit damage.

3. INSTALLATION
3.1 Connecting the Set-Top Box- Remove power from the TV
- Connect the “Cable TV” cable to the “Cable In” connector on the set-top box (Figure 3.1)
- Connect the HDMI (D) or Video/Audio (E) cables to the set-top box and TV (Figure 3.2)
- Plug the TV into the power
- Plug the Power Adapter (C) into the set-top box and connect to the AC power outlet (Figure 3.3)

- Change the source/input on the TV to either
HDMI or AV depending on how you connected
the TV to the set-top box
- The rst time the set-top box is powered on it
will scan for the TV channels and show the fol-
lowing screen (LEFT)
- Once the scan is completed, a display of de-
tected TV and Radio channels will appear. To
nish, press “OK” (RIGHT)
-After you have selected OK, you will be able to
view all detected channels on your TV

4. TROUBLESHOOTING
4.1 Reset to First Time Installation
If the set-top box is not working, then the rst item is to restart the rst time installation. This is done by
following these instructions:
1. With the TV switched on and the set-top box switched on, press the “MENU” button on the
remote control. This brings up the following menu:
2. Go right to the “Settings” option and press “OK.” This goes into the settings menu.
3. Go right to the “Version” option and press the DOWN button. Then press “OK” on the “Reset to
Factory Default” option. (This will ask you to conrm, press “OK”)

4.2 Help Menu
More detailed information about set-top box functions can be found in the “Help” settings menu.
1. With the TV switched on and the set-top box switched on, press the “MENU” button on the

*The set-top box will then reboot and start a scan and nd all of the channels available. If this does
not work, please contact your cable operator for more troubleshooting options.
