INTRODUCTION
Thank you for selecting this Clarke dehumidifier.
The dehumidifier is used to decrease the humidity within a space, it also
collects the resulting condensate.
Read this manual before use, the warnings and cautions in this manual will
help you operate the dehumidifier safely.
GUARANTEE
The dehumidifier is guaranteed against faulty manufacture for a period of 12
months from the date of purchase. Your receipt is required as proof of
purchase.
This guarantee is invalid if the dehumidifier has been tampered with, or not
used for the function for which it was intended.
Defective goods must be returned to their place of purchase. The
dehumidifier must not be returned to Clarke international without prior
permission.
This guarantee does not effect your statutory rights.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Through purchase of this dehumidifier, the customer is taking on the
obligation to deal with the WEEE in accordance with the WEEE
regulations in relation to the treatment, recycling & recovery and
environmentally sound disposal of the WEEE.
In effect, this means that this dehumidifier must not be discarded with general
waste. Refer to the laws governing Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE) at a recognised disposal facility.
R134a is a refrigerant that complies with EEC environmental standards. The
refrigerant circuit must not be punctured. At the end of its working life take
the dehumidifier to a recognised disposal facility.

SAFETY WARNINGS
1. The dehumidifier is used to decrease the humidity in a space. Do not use it
for other functions.
2. All users must know how to operate the dehumidifier safely and understand
any possible risks.
3. Do not let children play with the dehumidifier.
4. Do not install the dehumidifier in rooms that contain gas, oil or sulphur.
5. Do not install near sources of heat.
6. Keep the dehumidifier away from flammable material or pressurised
containers (a minimum of 50 cm).
7. Do not use the dehumidifier on an slope.
8. Do not use the dehumidifier outside.
9. Do not cover any part of the dehumidifier.
10. Do not block the air inlet/outlet vents.
11. Do not pull the cable or let it get pinched.
12. Do not let the cable become a hazard.
13. Replace the cable if it is damaged.
14. Speak to your Clarke supplier if repairs are necessary.
15. Repairs by unauthorised persons can be dangerous and invalidates the
guarantee.
16. Remove the plug from the power supply before you clean the dehumidifier
or do any maintenance operations.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Before you switch the dehumidifier on, make sure that the voltage of your
electricity supply is the same as that indicated on the rating plate. This
dehumidifier operate on a 230VAC 50Hz supply. Connecting it to any other
power source can cause damage.
This dehumidifier may be fitted with a non-rewireable plug. If it is necessary to
change the fuse in the plug, the fuse cover must be refitted. If the fuse cover
becomes lost or damaged, the plug must not be used until a suitable
replacement is obtained.
If the plug has to be changed, it must be cut off and a replacement fitted,
following the wiring instructions shown below. The old plug must be disposed of
safely, as insertion into a mains socket can cause an electrical hazard.
If the colours of the wires in the power cable of this dehumidifier do not
correspond with the markings on the terminals of your plug, proceed as
follows.
Connect the Blue wire to the terminal which is marked N.
Connect the Brown wire to the terminal which is marked L.
Connect the Yellow and Green wire to the terminal which is marked E or
.
We recommend that this machine is connected to the mains supply via a
Residual Current Device (RCD)
If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt any repairs yourself

WARNING: THE WIRES IN THE POWER CABLE OF THIS DEHUMIDIFIER
ARE COLOURED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING CODE:
BLUE = NEUTRAL BROWN = LIVE YELLOW AND GREEN = EARTH
Plug must be BS1363/A approved.
Always fit a 5 Amp fuse.
Ensure that the outer sheath of the cable is firmly held by the clamp

OVERVIEW
LOCATING THE DEHUMIDIFIER
Place the dehumidifier near a power outlet.
Space must be left
around the
dehumidifier, to let air
flow in and out.
Do not pull on the
cable.
Do not crush the
cable.
Do not put the
dehumidifier adjacent
to a heat source as
this decreases its
performance.
Keep the dehumidifier upright when moving it.
Empty the tank before moving.

OPERATION
BEFORE USE
1. Stand your dehumidifier upright for a minimum of 1 hour before operating.
2. Connect the plug to the power supply.
SWITCH ON/OFF
1. Set the ON/OFF Switch to the ON
position.
The power indicator lights up.
2. Set the ON/OFF Switch to the OFF
position.
The power indicator turns off.
EMPTYING THE TANK
1. When the “Tank full indicator”
comes on, switch off the
dehumidifier and disconnect the
plug from the power supply.
2. Remove the tank.
3. Discard the water and replace
the tank.
NOTE: The unit does not operate if
the tank is not installed.

CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE
This function lets the dehumidifier work continuously without having to empty
the water tank.
1. Turn the dehumidifier over and
identify the continuous drainage
port
2. Remove the plug from the
continuous drainage port.
3. Insert the spring supplied into the
drainage hose and then connect
that end of the drainage hose to
the drainage port.
4. Secure the drainage hose to the
drainage port using the spring clip
provided.
Make sure that the drainage
hose always runs downhill away from the dehumidifier.
Do not raise the height of any part of the drainage hose by more than
200 mm (above the height of unit base), otherwise the water will not
drain correctly.
5. Remove the drainage hose and replace the plug when you don't want to
drain continuously.

MAINTENANCE
STORAGE
Disconnect from the mains supply and empty the tank.
Clean and install the filter, see below.
Put a cover on the dehumidifier to stop dust getting inside.
CLEANING THE CABINET
Use a soft moist cloth to clean the external surfaces.
Do not use strong chemicals or abrasives as these can damage the
finish.
CLEANING THE AIR FILTER
1. Pull the filter towards you to
remove it.
2. Clean the filter with water to
remove any dust.
Let the filter dry naturally before
refitting.
3. Replace the filter.
Make sure that the lugs on the
filter are seated correctly.
The cleaning frequency depends on the duration of use and the level of
dust in the environment.
WARNING: ALWAYS UNPLUG THE DEHUMIDIFIER BEFORE YOU CLEAN OR
DO ANY MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS.
