Supply Cord
If the supply cord is
damaged, it must be
replaced by the
manufacturer or similarly
qualified person.
Turning off
Never use the plug to start
and stop the unit. Always
use the switch on the control
panel. If not using for a long
period of time, always
unplug at the mains socket.
Foreign Objects
Keep the input and output
openings free from
obstruction and never push
objects into these openings.
Safety
Stand Upright
Always keep the unit in an
upright position.
Position
Allow a free space of 15cm
around the unit.
Moving
Before moving the unit, first
switch off then unplug and
empty the water tank.
Leave to Stand
Leave the unit to stand for
one hour before connecting
to the mains supply after
transport or when the unit
has been tilted (e.g. during
cleaning).
Moisture
Do not allow your unit to be
exposed to rain or moisture.
Do not spray water or
insecticides, aerosols or any
other flammable sprays on
the machine.
Heat and Light
Keep the unit away from
heaters and keep out of
direct sunlight.

Before Use
1. Place on a stable, flat floor
If the floor surface is not even:
l vibration and noise will occur.
l water may leak from the water tank
2. Make sure the suction and exhaust
openings are clear and free from
blockage
3. Plug the unit in and turn the humidity
control to the right (on)
Using your dehumidifier
Indicator Lights
l Defrost - The working temperature of
the dehumidifier is from 5
o
C to 35
o
C. If
room temperature is16
o
C or below, the
automatic defrost system will start up
to prevent any build-up of ice on the
condenser.
l Operation - unit is in operation.
l Water Full - empty water tank.

Dehumidifying
lTurn the Humidity Level Switch
to your chosen level (Note: The
further the switch is turned
towards CONTINUOUS the
drier the room will become.)
lYour dehumidifier will cycle off
and on in order to maintain the
humidity of the room at your
chosen level.
Dehumidifying
continuously
lConnect the water
outlet to a suitable drain.
(Note: When using the
water outlet, the water tank
should not need emptying.)
lTurn the Humidity Level
Switch to CONTINUOUS.
The dehumidifier will stop functioning if:
l The water tank is full (3.5 litres)
l The water tank is not in place

Prevent ceiling and
windows from
condensation
To obtain best results,
try and avoid opening
and closing windows
and doors.
Protect moisture
sensitive items, eg
l musical instruments
l cameras
l computers
Remove dampness
from cupboards and
bookshelves
For best results, open the
cupboard and place the
dehumidifier in front of the
door.

Prevent clothes and
leather products from
moulding
Open wardrobe and pull
out drawers.
Benefits and Cleaning
Cleaning the filter
l Lift the plastic case
at the top of the unit.
l Pull out the filter.
l Use a vacuum cleaner
to remove any
residue or wash
under running water.
l Place in a cool area
to dry
Cleaning the outer case
l Use a soft clean cloth
to wipe the surface -
refrain from using
alcohol or gazoline.

Troubleshooting
Inactive motor
l Is the WATER FULL light on?
Note: When the light signalling the water tank is full is on,
empty the water tank and return it to its proper postion for it
to function again.
l Is the water tank in its proper position?
l Is the plug securely in place?
l Is there a power failure?
Note: If the HUMIDITY LEVEL SWITCH is set higher than the
actual humidity level, the dehumidifier will not function.
Little dehumidifying effect
l Is the filter blocked?
l Is the intake/exhaust opening blocked?
l Is the room temperature below 20
0
C?
Excessive noise
l Is the dehumidifier placed on a flat surface or is it unstable?
No air coming out from the exhaust
l Is the filter blocked?
Note: Remove the filter and clean. See cleaning section.
