IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
This device allows remote conguration and operation of powered furniture. Care should be taken that all furniture is unoccupied and
free of obstructions before remotely operating or conguring the furniture.
Use only LP Drive components with this product. The use of incompatible products may damage this product or other connected
products or components, and may result in electrical malfunctions.
1. Read all instructions before using this product.
2. DANGER – To reduce the risk of electric shock, always unplug this device from its power source before cleaning.
3. WARNING – To reduce the risk of burns, re, electric shock, or injury to persons, unplug from outlet before putting on or taking
off parts.
4. Never operate this furnishing if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or
dropped into water. Return the furnishing to a service center for examination and repair.
5. Do not install near any heated services.
6. Contact a qualied service technician when: product has been damaged in any way such as power supply cord, liquids have
penetrated interior of enclosures, or product does not work properly.
7. Do not use outdoors.
8. Do not power on or operate the product with any part of the enclosure removed.
9. Connect all cables to the bridge before connecting the power supply to the outlet.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules.
These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment
generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy, and if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may
cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular
installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the
equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
OVERVIEW
The LP Connect Wi-Fi Bridge enables Leggett & Platt’s LP Connect-compatible devices to be connected to a 2.4 GHz wireless network
and controlled through software, mobile apps, and automation systems. Because LP Connect uses a bus topology that also carries
power, devices can be connected in series, with one power supply and Wi-Fi module servicing several LP Connect devices. An example
would be a row of theater seats, with one Wi-Fi module at the end, and each chair’s controller connected to the adjacent chair.
CONNECTIONS
The LP Connect Wi-Fi Bridge enables Leggett & Platt’s LP Connect-compatible devices
to be connected to a 2.4 GHz wireless network and controlled through software, mobile
apps, and automation systems. Because LP Connect uses a bus topology that also
carries power, devices can be connected in series, with one power supply and Wi-Fi
module servicing several LP Connect devices. An example would be a row of theater
seats, with one Wi-Fi module at the end, and each chair’s controller connected to the
adjacent chair.
For setup, connect the Wi-Fi Bridge directly to a power supply.

CONFIGURATION
If the Wi-Fi Bridge has been previously congured, it is rst necessary to reset the bridge to factory defaults. First, unplug any power
source on either of the two DIN connectors. Next, hold down the reset button (see image above) while reconnecting the bridge to
a power source through one of the two DIN connectors. Continue holding the button for several seconds after the bridge starts up.
The “1” LED should begin to blink slowly. At this point, the reset button can be released, and the bridge is ready for conguration.
In conguration mode, the bridge acts as a wireless access point. Connect a computer or mobile device to the “LPConnectBridge”
wireless network. The password is “Leggett&Platt”. Once connected, open a web browser to http://192.168.1.1/. If your web
browser requests a password or shows an error message indicating “Request URI too long,” your computer is connected to the
wrong network, or it may have cached the router or access point conguration page from a different network – you may need to clear
browser cache or open a private browsing window.
From this website, you can congure the bridge to join a wireless
network using the “Network Conguration” tab. You can also
change the device ID of each of the connected devices using the
“CAN Device List” tab.
NETWORK CONFIGURATION
In the “Network Conguration” tab, you can connect the
bridge to a new wireless network and set its IP settings.
1. Select “Use DHCP” or “Use static IP settings below”
depending on your desired network conguration. If
“Use static IP settings below” is checked, you must
enter a valid IP address, gateway, and subnet mask.
2. Click to scan for wireless networks. A list of wireless
networks in range will be shown, with a signal
strength indicated for each.
3. Click on the network to join, and enter the security
key if prompted. If the network you wish to join does
not appear, click “Other Network…” and enter the conguration settings manually.
4. If you want to disable the conguration website for enhanced security, check the box. This will prevent unauthorized users who
might somehow gain access to your wireless network from reconguring the Wi-Fi bridge in the future.
5. The bridge will reboot and connect to the selected wireless network. You will have to connect your computer or mobile browser
to the wireless network and point the browser to the device’s IP address to access the device’s website again.

CAN DEVICE LIST
In the “CAN Device List” tab, the Wi-Fi bridge will show
the CAN device IDs of all connected LP Connect devices,
and also allow those device IDs to be changed. The device
IDs for connected devices must be unique across all chairs
connected to a single bridge. This page can be used to
change the device IDs of newly connected devices from the
default to a new ID, so that there are no conicts.
To refresh the list of connected devices, click “Refresh List.” A list of known connected devices will appear. Devices will not appear in
the list if they have not been seen on the LP Connect network for 20 seconds.
To change the ID of a device, click on the ID you wish to change and follow the instructions for entering the new ID. The device ID is a
number in hexadecimal, and it must be between 0 and 0x3ef (the device IDs between 0x3f0 and 0x3ff are reserved for special features).
DIAGNOSTICS
The Wi-Fi Bridge has four diagnostic LEDs on the top of the enclosure. The blinking of the LEDs indicates state of the bridge and
network. The meaning of the LEDs is as follows:
1. Blinks when the device is not connected to a wireless network. Once the device has connected to a wireless network, it will
turn solid.
2. Solid when an application or control system is connected to the TCP control port.
3. Blinks on wireless network activity.
4. Blinks on LP Connect bus activity.
DEVICE ID ASSIGNMENT
To quickly assign device IDs to a row of seats, a shortcut for assigning device IDs is built into the Wi-Fi bridge. Once the bridge is fully
powered on (diagnostic lights are working), you can hold the reset button for approximately 20 seconds to reset the device ID of all
devices connected to the bridge. This will put all connected devices into a “learning” mode.
Once this has been done, a simple action on each device will assign it the next available ID on the network. For furniture controllers,
this action is to press any motor button for more than 1 second. That is, once the device IDs have been reset, you can walk down the
row of chairs and press the motor button on each chair for 1 second in order to assign consecutive IDs to each chair.
