•Mowonlydrygrassorleaves.Wetgrassand

CuttingGrass
•Grassgrowsatdifferentratesatdifferenttimes
oftheyear.Inthesummerheat,itisbesttocut
grassatthe64mm(2-1/2inch),76mm(3inch),
or89mm(3-1/2inch)cutting-heightsettings.Cut
onlyaboutathirdofthegrassbladeatatime.
Donotcutbelowthe64mm(2-1/2inch)setting
unlessthegrassissparseoritislatefallwhen
grassgrowthbeginstoslowdown.
•Whencuttinggrassover15cm(6inches)tall,rst
mowatthehighestcutting-heightsettingandwalk
slower;thenmowagainatalowersettingforthe
bestlawnappearance.Ifthegrassistoolongand
theleavesclumpontopofthelawn,themachine
mayplugandcausetheenginetostall.
•Alternatethemowingdirection.Thishelps
dispersetheclippingsoverthelawnforeven
fertilization.
Ifthenishedlawnappearanceisunsatisfactory,try1

•Sharpentheblade.
•Walkataslowerpacewhilemowing.
•Raisethecuttingheightonyourmachine.
•Cutthegrassmorefrequently.
•Overlapcuttingswathsinsteadofcuttingafull
swathwitheachpass.
CuttingLeaves
•Aftercuttingthelawn,ensurethathalfofthelawn
showsthroughthecutleafcover.Youmayneed
tomakemorethanasinglepassovertheleaves.
•Forlightleafcoverage,setallthewheelsatthe
samecutting-heightsetting.
•Slowdownyourmowingspeedifthemachine
doesnotcuttheleavesnelyenough.
