Async Terminal
When enabled, the interface supports a VT-100 compatible terminal with
9.6 kbps, 8 bits, 1 stop bit, and no parity.
The Async Terminal feature has several additional changes effective with firmware
version 6.44:
For uniformity, every configuration option presents Previous first and Next
second for selection screens.
The Top-Level Menu screen now displays LED status for Alarm, Backup, and
Test for the active core if a condition exists on the interface. As shown in the first
screen, each status will display if the LED is lit or blinking.
All screens display the option V/Ctrl-V to view current Health and Status.
Three input screens now have an amount-of-time prompt for specific user input.
The input field must be fully populated (all digits entered) as shown in the
second screen. The three screens where an amount of time is entered are
Digital Test Run Time, Configuration Diagnostic Tributary Time Out (TribTimOut),
and Configuration Backup Network Time Out (NtwkTimOut).
