4. Install additional WiPNET WiFi on your network:
Install another WiPNET at next location
Simply insert the WiFi cartridge into the sleeve and power it on
Approximately 1 minute is required for the settings to port themselves to the
additional units. Be sure to wait for the LED to stop blinking before installing
and connecting to your next Wi3 access point.
Recommendation: Change the network name to make identification and
selection of Wi3 access points easier. Simply return to the cong.mywi3.com
setup page and insert new name in the Network Name (SSID) entry.
Other Things to Note:
To install another Wi3 WiFi access point on your network, simply insert it into
the sleeve and power it on after fully setting up the first. The new Wi3 access
point will inherit its settings from the first one.
Keep in mind it takes about 1 minute for the settings to port themselves
to the additional units. Be sure to wait for the LED to stop blinking before
connecting to your second (or third, etc.) Wi3 access point.
It is recommended that you change the network name to make identification
and selection of Wi3 access points easier (e.g. “My Office” or “Family Room”).
Common Connection Problems:
Wi3 system is not connected to your existing network and/or
Internet connection.
One of the WiPNETs must be connected to an existing router as
shown in illustration “A”. Note: A fast blinking LED indicates that
a router is not detected.
Unable to get to the Wi3 config.mywi3.com setup page.
Check to ensure that your host computer is not connected to
your network through its hard-wired link. Disconnect this network
connection to allow the wireless conguration to work properly.
Check to ensure that you have connected to the specic Wi3
access point that you are trying to configure.
WiPNET WiFi Factory Reset:
Locate the reset opening on the bottom of the cartridge next to
the F connector.
Insert paperclip into reset hole and press on recessed reset button,
holding until LED light turns off (about 10-15 seconds).
LED will begin blinking while the rebooting is occurring.
Once fully rebooted, the Wi3 signal will re-appear in the host
computer’s WiFi settings.
The reset unit will automatically inherit the configuration settings from
the other units. Allow about 1 minute for this process.
