Please read the owner’s manual carefully and ensure that you have followed the correct
installation and operating procedures.
1. Please read this warranty card.
2. Keep your purchase receipt to enable you to proceed quickly in the event of a Warranty
Service.
3. If you require Warranty Service, please contact the TEAC Warranty Service Hotline at

number and purchase receipt ready when you call.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for
compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also
entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable
quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
1. TEAC warrants that this product is free from defects in material and workmanship under normal
domestic use with reasonable care and skill. Maintenance and cleaning (i.e. laser head) is not
covered by this warranty. The TEAC warranty only applies to TEAC products purchased NEW
from a TEAC Authorised Retailer in Australia. This warranty only applies to the original purchaser
and cannot be transferred.
2. The benefits to the consumer given by this Warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies
of the consumer under a law in relation to goods or services to which the warranty relates, being
the Australian Consumer Law.
3. Refund or replacement via your TEAC Authorised Retailer is available for a period of 14 days
after purchase for goods that have been inspected and determined to have a major failure.
Refund and exchange is not applicable for change of mind.
4. Subject to the terms herein, this warranty effectively covers TEAC products under the 12 Month
Repair Warranty Scheme, 12 months from the date of original purchase.
5. The warranty is void and warranty claims may be refused, subject to the Australian Consumer
Law, if:
a) The product was not transported, installed, operated or maintained according to manufacturer
instruction, or
b) The product was abused, damaged, tampered, altered or repaired by any unauthorised persons,
or
c) Product failure is due to accidents during use, installation or transit, power surges, use of
defective or incompatible external devices, exposure to abnormal conditions such as excessive
temperatures or humidity, or entry of liquids, objects or creatures into the product, cockroach
infestations, or
d) The customer is unable to provide proof of purchase of the product for verification, or
e) The serial number of the product is missing or has been tampered with.
6. No one is authorised to assume any liability on behalf of TEAC or impose any obligation on it, in
connection with the sale of any equipment other than as stated in this warranty and outlined
above.
7. TEAC and/or its Authorised Service Centres reserve the right to inspect and verify whether the
product is exhibiting a major failure as claimed by customers/retailers.

3. Installation
There are three sub items:
DTV Auto Search
DTV Manual Search
Backup & Recovery: To import or export database
Use the Installation menu to search for and add new channels.
3.1 DTV Auto Search
Enter DTV Auto Search to search for channels automatically.

PressOK button to selected the frequency, then press red button to search the channels

Select to import or export Database from USB
4. Channel Edit
The channel edit menu has four items: Channel Edit, Delete All Channels, Vertical EPG, Horizontal EPG. To enter
Channel Edit page, press [UP/DOWN] keys to highlight the channel item and then press [OK] to enter.

4.1 Channel Edit
A password is required to enter the Channel Edit menu (the default password is “0000”)
Press [OK] to play the highlighted channel.
Press Blue button to lock/unlock channels selected.
Press Yellow button to delete channels selected.
Press Green button to select/unselect the highlighted channel.
Press Red button to sort channel list of current group, you can sort by
Name/TP/Fav/FTA_CA/HD_SD/default/LCN.
Press [0] to move selected channels
Press [1] to add highlighted channel to a favourite list, on fav list menu you can also press [2] to rename fav list name.
Press [2] to edit the name of highlighted channel.

4.2 Delete All Channels
A password is required to enter the Delete All Channels menu (default password is “0000”)
Afterwards, all channels can be deleted.
Warning: Please note that once you perform Delete All, all channels will be deleted.
This operation cannot be reversed.
4.3 Vertical EPG
Press [EPG] button to switch between vertical EPG
and horizontal EPG,
Press Red button to set record timer for the highlighted
EPG content.
Press Green button to set reminder timer for highlighted
EPG content.
Press Yellow button to view previous day EPG content.
Press Blue button to view next day EPG content.
Press [EPG] button to switch between vertical EPG
and horizontal EPG,
Press Red button to set record timer for the highlighted
EPG content.
Press Green button to set reminder timer for highlighted
EPG content.
Press Yellow button to view previous day EPG content.

5.1 Audio & Video Output Setting
Video Resolution: Press [OK] button and then press [UP/DOWN] button to set video resolution
(1080p,1080i,720p,PAL,NTSC).
TV Aspect Ratio: Press left/right button to set set aspect ratio of TV picture(Auto,4:3 or 16:9.).
Aspect Ratio Conversions: Press left/right button to set set aspect ratio mode(Full,Letter Box,Pan
Scan).
Digita Audio Format: Press left/right b
utton to set audio mode(PCM ,Bit Stream).
5.2 OSD Setting
OSD Transparency: Set the screen transparency.
OSD Timeout: Set the time duration of
the OSD display menu
Language Setting: Set OSD language.
Auto Standby Mode: If ON, the system will go
into auto standby after
an idle time period.

5.3 Time
Enter Time Menu to edit time settings.

5.4 Parental Control
A password is required to edit Age Control settings. Default password is “0000”.
You can edit Lock Setting for the Installation menu, Setting menu and PVR menu.
New password is required once Installation menu is set to “Lock”.

5.5 System Information
You can view System Information including build time, and hardware and software version.
5.6 Firmware Update
A password is required to update the �irmware. Default password is “0000”.
You can carry out system software upgrade via USB storage
Press OK button to start upgrade system will reboot automatically once upgrade is finished.
Warning: Do not switch off power during upgrade, software and hardware may occur as a result.

5.7 Factory Default
The default password is “0000”. All satellite, TP, Program database and
system settings will restore to factory default.
Warning:
Please note that once you perform factory default, all data and settings will be erased.
6. PVR
6.1 Record File Browser
You can view the file which you have recorded.

6.2 Media Browser
You can view media files in this menu.
Press Left/Right button to select All/Recording/Media/Photo, files can also be removed and sorted.
Press Red button to select/unselect all files, reverse select files.
Press [OK] button to preview the selected file.
Press Green button to select files
Press Yellow button to Remove file
Press Mode button to select the file mode
6.3 Picture Browser
You can view and edit all pictures in the Picture Browser.
Press [OK] button twice to enter sideshow mode full screen.
6.4 Timer List
Through the you can manage scheduled programs. In timer menu, you can view and edit Timer List
the scheduled program’s name, start time, duration, mode etc.
Press [OK] button to edit highlighted timer.
Press Red button to add a new timer.
Press Green button to remove the highlighted timer.
Press Yellow button to clear all
timers.
Press Blue button to sort timer (sort by run time ,
sort by create time).

7.1 Troubleshooting
Issue Possible causes What to do
LED on the front panel fail
to light up/is not lit.
Main supply cable is not connected. Check if the mains supply cable is plugged in
the power socket.
No picture or sound. Check the signal cable connections or change
the cable.
No startup menu on screen
after turning on STB for the
first time.
The system is connected by AV/
HDMI cables and the TV is not in
AV/EXT mode.
Switch the TV to the appropriate AV/HDMI
input.
The remote control is not
working.
Battery exhausted. Remote control
is not aimed correctly STB is in
standby mode.
Change the batteries. Aim the remote
control at the STB. Check that nothing blocks
the front panel. Chek if LED indicator on the
front panel is showing the time, press the
power button to switch off standby mode.
You have forgotten your
password.
Contact the dealer or Service Provider. They
will help you set it up again.
Auto Time Shift: Enable/disable time-shift function.
Time Shift Duration: Set the timeshift duration time.
Recording Storage: Select USB storage device to record to.
Playback Start Position: You can set the playback start
position for media and PVR .
Auto Play Next Program: You can enable or disable Auto
Play Next Program when current playing media ends.
