1. System requirements
Before using the EHD3-100 TV Tuner Card, check if your system meets the
following requirements:

NOTE: Smart install wizard installs all
the driver and utilities for your TV tuner
card and synchronizes the TV country
settings with your OS.
3. Installing the EHD3-100 TV Tuner Card
IMPORTANT:
• Install the EHD3-100 TV Tuner Card into your computer before installing
the driver and utilities from the bundled support CD.
• If you have previously installed another TV tuner card in your computer,
uninstall the software and the card before installing the EHD3-100.
To install the EHD3-100 TV Tuner Card into your computer:
1. Turn off your computer and unplug it from the power source.
2. Remove the system cover.
3. Remove the bracket opposite the PCIe slot that you intend to use. Keep the
screw for later use.
4. Alignthecardconnectorwiththeslotandpressrmlyuntilthecardis
completely seated on the slot.
5. Secure the card to the chassis with the screw you removed earlier.
6. Replace the system cover.
4. Installing the EHD3-100 driver and utilities
4.1 Installing the driver and utilities automatically
To install the driver and utilities automatically:
1. Turn on your computer.
2. Windows
®
automatically detects the TV
tuner card and displays the Found New
Hardware Wizard window. Click Cancel.
3. Place the support CD into the optical drive.
An autorun screen appears if Autorun is
enabled on your computer.
4. Select Windows XP/Vista, then click
Smart install wizard. Follow the onscreen
instructions to complete the installation.

4.2 Installing the driver and utilities manually
To install the driver and utilities manually:
1. Turn on your computer.
2. Windows
®
automatically detects the TV
tuner card and displays the Found New
Hardware Wizard window. Click Cancel.
3. Place the support CD into the optical drive.
An autorun screen appears if Autorun is
enabled on your computer.
4. Select Windows XP/Vista, then click Install
Driver. Follow the onscreen instructions to
complete the installation.
5. Select the utility that you want to use
on your computer. Follow the onscreen
instructions to complete the installation.
NOTE:WhenyouarerunningPowerCinemaforthersttime,asetupwizard
launches automatically prompting you to scan for available TV channels in your
area.

5. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What can I do if I get poor digital signal reception?
• Digital TV reception capability varies depending on your area. Use a roof
antenna in low signal areas.
• Check if ATSC TV is supported in your area at www.antennaweb.org.
• Check if your antenna is damaged or if it is connected properly.
• Reorient or relocate the bundled patch antenna.
• Attach the bundled patched antenna to metal.
Does the EHD3-100 support Windows

Yes, the EHD3-100 supports Windows

Media Center with a built-in hardware
MPEG-2 encoder.
