Swift Overview
3. Wi-Fi indicator
This displays the Wi-Fi status of Swift:
• Green: Wi-Fi enabled
• Unlit: Wi-Fi disabled
4. Alarm indicator
This indicator is used to display user-
programmed errors. The indicator
remains unlit until it detects a
predened error condition.
5. Backwards nudge
Hold this button to drive Scorpion2
crawler backwards.
6. Stop movement
Press this button to stop Scorpion2
crawler.
7. Forwards nudge
Hold this button to drive Scorpion2
crawler forwards.
8. Joystick
This is used to drive and steer Scorpion2
crawler when a connection is
established.
The movement of the crawler depends
upon the joystick status indicated in
Swift software.
This allows both drive and steer control
over the crawler.
This allows only forwards and
backwards movement of the crawler
with slight veering control to adjust
driving direction.
The joystick will not move the crawler.
9. Heavy-duty bumpers
The four corner bumpers provide shock
absorption and support Swift at an
angle when set on a at surface. The
bumpers also act as a harnessing
point for the instrument. For details
about harnessing, see Appendix A.
10. Multi-touch display
10.4 ″, non-reflective, backlit, high-
resolution display.
11. Handle
Use this handle when carrying Swift.
12. Back button
Press this button to navigate
backwards through Swift software
interface.
13. Keypad arrows
The use of the arrows is dependent
upon the view in Swift software
interface.
Up/Down arrow
In A-Scan Conguration view, these
adjust the step/pre-set value of the
selected A-Scan property.
In Analyse view, they control the
vertical crosshair cursor position on
the B-Scan.
Left/Right arrow
In A-Scan Conguration view, these
arrows increase or decrease the
selected A-Scan property by the step/
pre-set value.
In Analyse view, they control the
horizontal crosshair cursor on the
B-Scan.
14. Enter button
Press this button in the A-Scan
Congurations view to apply the step/
preset value to the selected A-Scan
property.
15. Start/Pause scan button
Use this button to start or pause the
data acquisition scan.
16. Stop scan button
Use this button to finish the data
acquisition scan.
17. Zoom in
Use this button to zoom in on the
B-Scan in Analysis view.
18. Zoom out
Use this button to zoom out of the
B-Scan in Analysis view.
