1. Safety Information
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is
intended to alert the user to the presence of un-insulated “dangerous voltage”
within the products enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a
risk of electric shock to the persons.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intend to alert the user to
the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in
the literature accompanying the appliance.
Correct disposal of this Product
(Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
The crossed out “Wheelie bin” is intended to show that this appliance must not be
placed with ordinary household waste at the end of its useful life. To prevent
possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste
disposal, please keep separate from other household waste and recycle it
responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources.
Household users should contact either the retailer where you purchased the
product, or their local government office for details of where and how you can take
this item for environmentally safe re-cycling.
Business users should contact their supplier and check the terms and conditions of
the purchase contract. This product must not be mixed with other commercial
wastes for disposal

This unit is a “CLASS 1” laser product. This product uses a visible laser beam
which could cause hazardous radiation exposure. Ensure the player is operated
as instructed. Do not remove any covers or look into the CD slot / opening whilst
power is applied. Do NOT modify or adjust any controls that may affect laser
emissions. Should the appliance become faulty, consult a qualified technician.

2. Safety Instructions
CAUTION. PLEASE READ AND OBSERVE ALL WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN IN THIS
USER MANUAL AND MARKED ON THE APPLIANCE. RETAIN THIS BOOKLET FOR FUTURE USE.
This player has been designed and manufactured to assure your personal safety. Improper use
can result in Electric shock or Fire hazard. The safeguards in this appliance will protect you if
you observe the correct procedures for installation, servicing and operation. There are NO user
parts inside. DO NOT REMOVE THE CASE OR OTHER COVERS OR YOU MAY BE EXPOSED TO
DANGEROUS VOLTAGES OR LASER RADIATION AND WILL INVALIDATE YOUR WARRANTY.
REFER ALL SERVICING TO QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONNEL.
Unpacking and Handling. Open the carton carefully and remove the polyfoam packing. Carefully lift
the player and place onto a firm stable surface. Lift off the Poly bag and retain all packaging for future
use. Keep all packaging away from small children and animals.
Placing Player. The Player should be placed on a firm table or shelf. If placing in a cabinet ensure
there is sufficient spacing for air flow and access for the Turntable and side cassette player opening.
Connections. When connecting the player to the mains supply, do not place wires that can be tripped
over. Do not trap or place heavy objects on the mains lead.
Ventilation and Heat Sources. Do not place material over the ventilation slots, this will cause the
player to overheat and fail. Do not place the player in direct sunlight or near heat sources such as
radiators or fires.
Moisture. Do not place the player in wet or damp conditions, such as steamy kitchens, basements or
other damp places. Do not allow water or other fluids to enter the player. Do not touch the Mains plug
with wet hands. Should moisture enter the player, disconnect from the supply and call the customer help
line.
Cleaning. Disconnect the player from the mains supply. Use a soft dry cloth, for stubborn stains use a
soft moist cloth with a dilute mild detergent.. Do NOT use petrol based fluids or abrasive materials.

Headphone Use.
When using headphones do not use for long periods. Loud music can permanently damage your
hearing.
3. User Controls.
Front View

Skip +. Selects the Next track on the CD
Skip -. Returns to the start of the track playing.
Holding down selects the previous track.
Repeat. Selects the repeat mode. Track or All
disc.
Volume Control. Sets level of Volume.
CD Door. Holds CD disc
Headphone jack. Connection of headphones.
Dial Pointer. Displays radio station frequency.
Function Selector. Selects Record player, CD
player, Tape player or Radio.
Led Display. Displays CD track playing
Band Selector. Selects AM , FM Mono, FM Stereo
Play/Pause. Plays or Pauses CD playing.
Stop. Stops CD playing.
Program. Programmes CD track order.
Tuning Control. Selects radio stations.
Open/Close. Opens and Closed CD door.
Power Control. Switches player to standby. (Note to
remove power from the player the Mains Plug must be
removed from the outlet).
FM St Indicator. Shows when a stereo FM signal is
received.
Power Indicator. Displays that power is connected to
the player.

3. User Controls.
Turntable
Side View
Platter. Supports Vinyl disc.
Speed Selector. Selects disc speed. 78 Rpm, 45 Rpm, 33 Rpm.
Cartridge and Stylus.

4. General Operation.
Power Connection.
Insert the Mains Plug into a suitable 240V AC socket and switch on the socket. The Power Indicator will light
Red, to indicate power is applied. (Note :- To fully remove the power you must switch Off at the supply
socket).
Push in the Power Control button.
Select the function you require.
Radio.
FM. Select FM ST. Set the volume level at 50% and rotate the Tuning Control to find the station of your
choice. If you are in a poor reception area, unravel the FM aerial wire at the rear of the player and hang
loosely. If the station is noisy or distorted, try moving the wire aerial. If you still cannot remove the noise but
wish to listen to the station, select FM Mono.
AM.
There are still a number of interesting radio stations on AM. Select AM and tune the station of your choice. If
the station is noisy rotate the entire player to ensure the signal is maximised with the internal aerial.
CD.
Select CD. Press the Open/Close button. The CD tray will automatically open. Place a CD disc onto the tray
and press the Open/Close button again. (Note :- Do not push the CD tray, it may cause damage to the
mechanism).
The disc will be “read” and the display will show “Track 01”. If the player will not “read” the disc, the disc
maybe dirty or damaged. See Disc care on Page 8
To Start playing, press the PLAY/PAUSE button. To pause the disc whilst playing press the button again. To
resume playing press again.
To Stop playing press the STOP button.
To Skip forward to another track, press SKIP +, each press will advance the track number by “one”.
To return to the start of a track press SKIP -. To return to the previous track press twice, to return to the start
of the CD hold the button in for a few seconds.
To Program track playing order, stop the disc playing. The playing order of up to 20 tracks may be stored
Press the PROGRAM button and the display will show “01” and flash. Select the required track by pressing
the Skip + or Skip – buttons. Press the PROGRAM button to enter this selection into the players memory.
Repeat this operation until all the required tracks are stored. Press PLAY/PAUSE and the player will start
playing the track selection, the Numeric display will flash and show the track playing.
To end PROGRAM play. Press the PROGRAM button twice. The display will stop flashing and the player
will revert to normal playing mode.
Removing the CD will also terminate the PROGRAM feature.
TAPE.
Select TAPE.
Insert the tape cassette into the player fully. The cassette mechanism will click and lock the tape in place
and start to play.
At the end of the tape or to stop the tape playing press the EJECT button. To Fast Forward, press the
EJECT button in 50%. To stop Fast Forward press the button to release.
RECORD PLAYER.
Select PHONO. Place the Vinyl disc onto the Platter. Uncover the Stylus by rotating the protector upwards.
Select the disc speed. LP’s are normally 33 Rpm, 7” discs are Normally 45 Rpm, 10” 0r 12” antique discs
are normally 78 Rpm.
Release the “Tone Arm” and slightly lift to clear the mounting and place the stylus on the record. The motor
will start automatically and playing will commence. At the end of the record, the motor will stop automatically.
Lift the stylus away from the disc surface and return to the arm mounting. When not using the Record
Player it is wise to protect the stylus and ensure the arm is fixed into its mounting.

6. Media Care
CD Disc Handling.
CD discs require careful handling and storage.
Hold the disc with your fingers as shown carefully gripping the outer edges or using a finger in the
centre hole. Do NOT touch the playing surface.
Do NOT bend the disc. If badly scratched, cracked or broken do NOT place into the player.
Store discs in a cool dry place, vertical storage in dust covers is recommended.
To clean discs, carefully wipe from the centre outwards not in a circular motion.
Use a soft dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a soft cloth with dilute detergent. Ensure the disc is
completely dry before placing into the player.
DO NOT USE CHEMICAL CLEANERS OR VINYL DISC FLUID.

Vinyl Disc Handling.
Dirt is the Vinyl discs greatest enemy. Keeping discs clean and dust free is thoroughly recommended.
Keep discs in their sleeves when not playing. Vinyl discs scratch very easily and this will be heard as
“clicks” and hiss. Do NOT play the discs at the wrong speed, this will reduce the quality.
To ensure the discs do not get scratched, wait till the disc has stopped before removing the tone arm,
Lift carefully and return to the arm stand.
To clean Vinyl discs, special cleaning fluid is available but it is recommended that warm soapy water
and a soft cloth is used.
Tape Handling.
Cassette tapes should be stored in their cases. Dirt and dust should not collect on the tape surface. This
dirt can be transferred to the tape head
Headphone Use.
When using headphones do not use for long periods. Loud music can permanently damage your
hearing.

8. Mains Plug Wiring Diagram
If it becomes necessary to replace the Mains Plug, it should be
wired in accordance with the diagram above.
The Brown wire (Live) should be connected to the terminal (L)
The Blue wire (Neutral) should be connected to the terminal (N)
This Player is a “CLASS 2” apparatus and must NOT be earthed.
