4. General Operation.
Power Connection.
Insert the Mains Plug into a suitable 240V AC socket and switch on the socket. The Power Indicator will light
Red, to indicate power is applied. (Note :- To fully remove the power you must switch Off at the supply
socket).
Push in the Power Control button.
Select the function you require.
Radio.
FM. Select FM ST. Set the volume level at 50% and rotate the Tuning Control to find the station of your
choice. If you are in a poor reception area, unravel the FM aerial wire at the rear of the player and hang
loosely. If the station is noisy or distorted, try moving the wire aerial. If you still cannot remove the noise but
wish to listen to the station, select FM Mono.
AM.
There are still a number of interesting radio stations on AM. Select AM and tune the station of your choice. If
the station is noisy rotate the entire player to ensure the signal is maximised with the internal aerial.
CD.
Select CD. Press the Open/Close button. The CD tray will automatically open. Place a CD disc onto the tray
and press the Open/Close button again. (Note :- Do not push the CD tray, it may cause damage to the
mechanism).
The disc will be “read” and the display will show “Track 01”. If the player will not “read” the disc, the disc
maybe dirty or damaged. See Disc care on Page 8
To Start playing, press the PLAY/PAUSE button. To pause the disc whilst playing press the button again. To
resume playing press again.
To Stop playing press the STOP button.
To Skip forward to another track, press SKIP +, each press will advance the track number by “one”.
To return to the start of a track press SKIP -. To return to the previous track press twice, to return to the start
of the CD hold the button in for a few seconds.
To Program track playing order, stop the disc playing. The playing order of up to 20 tracks may be stored
Press the PROGRAM button and the display will show “01” and flash. Select the required track by pressing
the Skip + or Skip – buttons. Press the PROGRAM button to enter this selection into the players memory.
Repeat this operation until all the required tracks are stored. Press PLAY/PAUSE and the player will start
playing the track selection, the Numeric display will flash and show the track playing.
To end PROGRAM play. Press the PROGRAM button twice. The display will stop flashing and the player
will revert to normal playing mode.
Removing the CD will also terminate the PROGRAM feature.
TAPE.
Select TAPE.
Insert the tape cassette into the player fully. The cassette mechanism will click and lock the tape in place
and start to play.
At the end of the tape or to stop the tape playing press the EJECT button. To Fast Forward, press the
EJECT button in 50%. To stop Fast Forward press the button to release.
RECORD PLAYER.
Select PHONO. Place the Vinyl disc onto the Platter. Uncover the Stylus by rotating the protector upwards.
Select the disc speed. LP’s are normally 33 Rpm, 7” discs are Normally 45 Rpm, 10” 0r 12” antique discs
are normally 78 Rpm.
Release the “Tone Arm” and slightly lift to clear the mounting and place the stylus on the record. The motor
will start automatically and playing will commence. At the end of the record, the motor will stop automatically.
Lift the stylus away from the disc surface and return to the arm mounting. When not using the Record
Player it is wise to protect the stylus and ensure the arm is fixed into its mounting.
