EquiView provides a Windows-based interface to manage ELS terminal servers. With its
graphical interface, you can easily identify all of the nodes and services available on each
server, configure and change server databases, monitor activity and more effectively manage
your network.
This technical note lists the hardware and software needed to use EquiView, as well as instal-
lation instructions. Additional help can be found in the on-line help provided as part of
EquiView.

Installation
Insert the EquiView disk into your disk drive.
Run Windows.
Choose Run from the Windows Program Manager File Menu to see the Run dialog box.
In the command-line box, type A:\INSTALL.EXE or B:\INSTALL.EXE.
Click OK to start the EquiView installation.
A dialog box opens showing the default drive and directory where EquiView will be in-
stalled. To install EquiView on a different drive or in a different directory, type a new path
name in the Install box. The installation program creates a subdirectory on your harddrive,
copies the necessary program files and creates an EquiView program window and icon.
When the installation is complete, you are returned to the Windows Program Manager. To
start EquiView, open the Program Group for EquiView for Windows and double-click on the
EquiView icon. Note: It is recommended that you connect the serial port of the PC to an
Equinox ELS server before starting EquiView.
Follow the instructions given by the program at start up. An on-line HELP utility is pro-
vided as part of the menus.
