Northern PWE Lid Installation Instructions

The Northern PWE enclosure varies from standard PWE enclosure systems by including a modiﬁ ed lid and additional

gasketing material. This provides the enclosure more protection against wind driven snow and debris. These instructions

includes information on differences speciﬁ c to the Northern PWE model. For general information on PWE system

enclosures, refer to the PWE/PME Series Technical Manual, Alpha P/N 031-161-B0, located at www.alpha.com.

1. To remove the lid, open the enclosure door. Grasp the underside of the lid from the front and pull up, and slightly to

the rear. See Fig. 1.

2. To replace the lid, open the enclosure door. Align the two pins located on the sides of the lid with the slots in the top of

the enclosure. Set the lid into the slots, pull slightly forward, Fig. 2. Push down to seat the retaining pin in the front of

the lid. See Fig. 3
