It is recommended that a qualified service technician install your dryer.
Two people are required for the installation of this product.
Please read the following instructions carefully before starting to install the
dryer. These instructions should be retained for future reference.
Remove the doors from all discarded appliances such as dryers to avoid the
danger of a child suffocating.
MINIMUM CLEARANCES
Wheninstallingthe dryer the following minimumclearancesapply: Sides- 2.25" Rear - 1.5" ° Top- 2" ° Front - 0"
GENERALWARNINGS
Donot install the dryeron a carpetedfloor. Thedryermust not be installedor stored in an areawhere it will be exposedto
water and/orweather. Thedryer areaisto be kept clear andfree from combustible materials,gasoline,and otherflammable
vapors and liquids. Theareaaround the dryer shouldbekept free of lint.
Dryersinstalled in residential garagesmustbeelevated 18 inches( 46 cm ) abovethe floor
WARNING- Toreducethe risk of fire this appliancemust be exhaustedto the outside.
Thedryermust notbeexhaustedintoanygasvent,chimney,wall, ceiling,or concealedspaceofa building. If thedryeris installed
in a closetor tightly sealedroom, provisionsshould be madefor at least 18 squareinchesof ventilationarea. Air openings
measuringa minimumof 3 x 3 inchesshouldbe providedatthe topand bottomof theclosetdoor. Ordinarily,Iouvereddoorswill
satisfythe ventilationrequ_rements.Donotallow storageor anyothermaterialsto obstructventilationopenings.
Neveruseplasticor non-metalflexible duct,
This can kink, reduceairflow causing service problems,and presentsa potential fire hazard.
Use4" diameterrigid metal exhaust duct,
Minimizethe lengthof the duct andthe numberof elbows. Securejoints with duct tape. Donot usescrews or other

hoodandthe ground or otherobstruction.Thehoodopeningshouldpointdown. Neverinstalla screen overthe exhaustoutlet.
Ifexhaustductwork mustrunthrough an unheatedarea,the duct shouldbe insulatedand slopeslightly downtowards the
exhausthoodto reducecondensationbuild-up.
Inspectand cleanthe interiorof the exhaustsystemat leastoncea year. Disconnectelectricservice priorto cleaning.Check
the gas line ongasdryers anytimethe dryer ismoved.
MOBILEHOMEINSTALLATION
Theinstallation of the dryer inmobile homesmust conform to the ManufacturedHomeConstructionandSafetyStandard,
Title 24 CFR,Part32-80 {formerly the FederalStandardfor MobileHomeConstructionand Safety,Title 24, HUD(part280),
1975} (for the UnitedStates),or CSAStandardsZ240(for Canada).
Wheninstalling a dryer ina mobile home,provisionsfor anchoringthe dryer to the floor must be made.
All mobilehome installationsmust be exhaustedto theoutside with the exhaustduct termination securelyfastenedto the
mobile homestructure,using materialsthat will not support combustion. Theexhaustduct may not terminate beneaththe
mobile home.
ELECTRICALWARNIN
The powercord kit purchasedbythe consumerfor usewiththis dryer must be ratedfor 240Vmin30A,fitted with closed loop
terminals and marked for usewith clothesdryers.

If a powercord is not usedandtheelectric dryer isto be permanentlywired, the dryer must beconnectedtoa grounded
metal,permanentwiring system;or an equipmentgrounding conductormust be run with the circuit conductors and connected

GASWARNINGS
Useonly Naturalor LP(LiquidPetroleum)gasses.
Gasdryersare equippedwith a burnerorifice foroperationon naturalgas. Conversionkits (PartNumber63-6766)areavailable
throughyour localdealer. If the dryeris to be operatedon LP(LiquidPetroleum)gas,it must beconvertedbya qualifiedservice
technicianfor safe and proper performance. This dryer usesan automatic ignition systemto ignitethe burner. Thereis no
constant burning pilot.
Theinstallation must conformwith localcodes,or in the absenceof localcodes,with the National FuelGasCode,ANSI
Z223.1/NFPA54,or the CanadianNatural Gasand PropaneInstallationCode,CSAB149.1.
TheNationalFuelGasCoderequiresthat an accessible,approvedmanualgasshut-off valve be installed within 6 feet of the
dryer. Additionally a 1/8" N.P.T.(NationalPipeThread)pluggedtapping,accessible for test gaugeconnection, must be installed
immediately upstreamof the gassupply connectionto the dryer.
Thedryer must be disconnectedfrom the gassupply piping system during anypressuretesting of the system.
