SCE SCE-TSH100, SCE-TSH150, SCE-TSH25, SCE-TSH50, SCE-TSH75 Installation Information

  • Hello! I've reviewed the datasheet for the Saginaw Control Touch Safe Heaters, which include models SCE-TSH25, SCE-TSH50, SCE-TSH75, SCE-TSH100, and SCE-TSH150. This document provides important details regarding installation, model selection based on enclosure size, and safety precautions such as the required thermal safety gap. I'm ready to address your questions about these heaters and their use.
  • What is the maximum surface temperature of the heaters?
What is the minimum thermal safety gap required for these heaters?
Where should the heaters be installed in an enclosure?
What should be done if the enclosure's width is greater than its height?

MODEL SELECTION:
• Determine the surface area of the enclosure in square feet.
• Select the Touch Safe Heater unit from
the chart based on square feet of the enclosure.
• Units should be installed in the lower quarter of the enclosure.
• When enclosure width is greater than height, two smaller
units will heat the area more efficiently than one larger unit.
SURFACE AREA EQUATION:
2[(Height x Width)+(Height x Depth)+(Width x Depth)] ÷ 144
