4.0 OPERATION
4.1 TO CHECK BEFORE EACH USE
- Check the Easy Spread for visible damage and carry out necessary repairs for
safety reasons.
- Check the bolts/nuts.
- Check the hydraulic components for leaks/damage.
- Check the electrical system for damage.
4.2 CONNECTING TO THE TRACTOR
The Easy Spread can be connected to the tractor using the standard CAT 1/2 three-point
attachment.
It can be connected as follows:
1. The Easy Spread lies horizontally as described on page 8.
2. Drive the tractor carefully in reverse so that the low connection arms can be
connected to the frame.
3. Connect the low connection arms to the three-point connection plates using
the included pins (see 2 Fig. 9).
4. Lock the pins using the included locking springs.
5. Remove the standard upper connection from the tractor.
6. If the cylinder has not been slid out yet:
a. Connect the hydraulic hoses to the hydraulic output of the tractor.
@ P-connection to the outlet side, T-connection to the pressure-free
return connection.
@ Make sure that the connections are clean.
b. Connect the electrical plug to the 12 volt connection of the tractor and
switch this on.
c. Mount the switch box by means of the magnet foot inside the tractor
cabin.
d. Sit on the tractor.
e. Start the tractor.
f. Activate the hydraulic output of the tractor.
g. Press button 3 on the switch box (see Fig. 10).
h. The cylinder slides out.
i. *Switch off the tractor before dismounting from it!
7. Fasten the cylinder to the connection point of the tractor (see 2 Fig. 9).
8. Position the top cylinder such on the Easy Spread that it can reach its full
work area (depending on the type of tractor) (Fig. 8).
9. If this has not yet been done: connect the hydraulic hoses to the hydraulic
output of the tractor.
@ P-connection to the outlet side, T-connection to the pressure-free return
connection.
@ Make sure that the connections are clean.
10. Make sure that the connection pins of the three-point connection are locked.
11. See if any hoses are doubled/jammed.
12. Lift the Easy Spread carefully to its vertical position by pressing button 1 on
the switch box (see Fig. 10)
(the hydraulic output of the tractor should be active).
*While doing this make sure not to damage the tractor when the
cylinder is improperly adjusted (see point 8).
13. Check all functions for proper operation.
