insignicant.
The warranted condition, endurance and usability
of the product is solely subject to the specications
agreed in writing, in the product specication and/
or in this guide. Further oral agreements, especially
from preliminary talks, advertising and/or in related
industrial standards are only valid as an integral part
of a written contract. Only conditions and specications
specically laid down by us are valid. We do not accept
conditions or specications laid down by third parties.
The specications laid down in this guide are valid. If
the customer wishes to use the product for a purpose
other than the intended purpose, he or she is obliged
to thoroughly examine the suitability of the product for
this other purpose. We give no warranty and accept no
liability for any use other than that explicitly approved
by us in writing.
Any changes made to the product will result in the loss
of warranty and all claims and rights will lapse.
The user is held responsible for the proper use of the
lter. The user guide does not discharge you from your
liability for the proper and safe application, installation,
operation and maintenance of the lter.
On using this guide you agree that in no circumstances
can or will the manufacturer be held liable for any
personal injuries or damage to property that might
result from using the device. This applies specically for
any damage due to improper piping or plumbing.
Damage due to failure to clean or maintain the lter
regularly is not covered by the warranty.
2.2
Our warranty for defects is strictly limited to
supplementary performance. We will eliminate any
defects or deliver substitute goods at our discretion.
Where supplementary performance fails or is disputed
or impossible the customer has the right to withdraw
from the contract.
The manufacturer explicitly limits the warranty to
the lter itself. We are not reliable for consequential
damage, or damage caused by a malfunction or failure
of the lter, such as a loss of animals.
2.3
The customer is required to conduct a detailed
inspection of the goods immediately after delivery.
Any defects should be reported immediately in writing.
Hidden defects should be reported immediately after
their discovery. The customer should report damage
caused during transport within 24 hours to the carrier

meet the requirement to inspect the goods and report
any defects or damage, then this will result in the loss
of warranty.
2.4
We except no liability for the improper application,
use, maintenance and handling of the product by the
customer or its subsidiaries, nor for usual wear and
tear. This applies specically to the consequences
of thermal, chemical, electrochemical or electrical
inuences as well as for infringements of our use and
maintenance guides. The same applies to damage
resulting from changes or adjustments made by the
customer, which have not been approved by us in

2.5
Damage directly attributed to the improper use of the
product is, in principle, for the customer’s account.
If the customer returns the product, break-proof

2.6
Claims against us become time-barred within a year
after the initial delivery of the goods to the customer.
The same applies to damage claims regardless of their
juridical cause. The limitation period does not apply to
claims based on the malicious concealment of damages,
injury to life, body or health or other damage resulting
from intent or wanton negligence.

3. General
Congratulations on the purchase of your new lter.
The SuperFleece removes waste particles from the
water. Biolter and protein skimmer are relieved and
the result is crystal clear water.
3.1 Features of the SuperFleece Filter:
- efcient mechanical ltration by ne lter eece
- automatic transport of the eece.
- easy changing of the used eece roll.
- the rolls are easy to change, up to 100 m length.
- the roll is 15 cm wide, for ow rates up to
2700l/h, depending on the water quality.
- minimum power consumption. Average below
0,1W.
- 12V safety voltage
3.2 Working principle
The polluted water passes the lter eece and enters
into the drum. From here it ows back into the
lter sump. If the eece is loaded with dirt, the ow
through the eece decreases and the water level
outside of the drum rises. If it reaches a certain level,
a level switch starts the motor, the drum rotates and a
small part of fresh eece is -fully automatically- loaded
on the drum. This process goes on depending on the
waste production in the system until the complete
eece is used and has to be replaced. The Fleece is
very ne. Even smallest particles are removed. The dirt
is ltered out of the system, before it is metabolized
biologically. This relieves the biolter. The pores of the
eece are even ne enough to retain many protozoa,
like sh parasites in fresh and saltwater. They cannot
pass the eece.
In the SuperFleece a level-switch is mounted. If the
eece is loaded with dirt, the ow through the eece
decreases and the water level outside of the drum
rises. If it reaches a certain level, a level switch starts
the motor, the drum rotates and a small part of fresh
eece is loaded on the drum. Fully automatically.
3.3. Construction
The eece is transported from the releasing roll to the
accepting roll. The rolls are driven by gear wheels by
gear wheels.
If the accepting roll is full – or the releasing roll empty,
it can be taken out of the lter easily. Both parts can
be separated and the eece can be discarded.

4.1 Inserting a new fleece roll
If the eece roll is replaced, it must be taken care, that
the O-rings at the left and right side of the new roll are
mounted in the right way. See the arrow on the gure
at the left. They prevent, that the roll is turning freely.
This keeps the eece always taut.
The eece is directed from the releasing roll over the
rst directing roll. The end of the eece can now be
xed to the drum (by a tape) or just pressed into the
drum. The drum is rotated carefully until the eece can
be reached from the other side.
Now, it is directed over the second directing roll and
xed on the accepting roll. This can be done with
tale as well. If the accepting roll is in place and the
transformer is plugged in the mains, the level switch
can be lifted lightly by hand. The motor starts and the
eece is pulled taut.
NOTE IN HIGHLY POLLUTED WATER:
If the water is very dirty the roll is rapidly
consumed. Then it may happen that the roll with
the trapped dirt can not dry quickly enough. It
is then so heavy that the motor can not turn.
In this case, we recommend when about half of
the eece is consumed, the eece is cut and the
dirty half is disposed. The remaining eece can
then be clamped again and used up until the
end.

4.2 Connections
Water inlet 40mm tank union/glue tting
Water outlet 40mm tank union/glue tting
Overow 25mm tank union/glue tting
4.2.1 Wasser inlet:
Gravity fed
If operated by gravity, the SuperFleece is placed
below the aquarium or below the water level of
the pond in the lter sump.
We recommend to use a pipe of 50 mm from
the overow chamber of the aquarium or from
the skimmer of the pond to the Supereece.
Use a exible coupling to connect the pipe with
the SuperFleece. If you glue the parts together,
the SuperFleece cannot be disassembled for
maintenance.
Pump fed
If the SuperFleece is supplied with water by a
pump, the maximum ow is 2500l/h. The water
inlet can be reduced by a reduction tting to
a hose connector. This connections should be
glued. The SuperFleece is placed above the
water level of the aquarium or pond. The water
ows back by gravity into the aquarium or the
pond. The return diameter should preferably be
enlarged to 50 mm, immediately after the Super
Fleece.
4.2.2 Water outlet
The water outlet may not be reduced. A 40 mm PVC
pipe should be presses into the tank union. You can
also use 50mm pipe along with a exible coupling.
From here a PVC pipe can be directed to the lter sump
or pond. The pipe should not be glued into the tank
union. If it is glued, the superFleece cannot not be
disassembled. Alternatively a 40 mm hose tting can be
pressed into the tank union and a hose may be directed
to the pond or aquarium. In any case, the water must
ow freely away from the outlet. Neither a PVC pipe nor
a exible hose may be directed higher than the outlet
of the SuperFleece.
4.3 Overflow
The emergency overow is a 25 mm tank union. Here,
you can press in a 25 mm PVC pipe. From here the pipe
is directed downwards in a free ow pipe. Alternatively
a 25 mm hose connection can be pressed into the tank
union and a hose can be directed to the pond or
aquarium.
5. Set Up
5.1 Pond, quarantaine:
The SuperFleece is placed above the water level and is
supplied with water by a pump. The puried water ows
freely back into the pond.
The motor of the SuperFleece has a power uptake
of 4W and is operated with 12V= safety voltage. A
transformer is included.

5.2 Aquarium (fresh and salt water)
The SuperFleece can be placed into the lter sump
below the aquarium. The water level in the lter
sump should always be 5 cm below the water outlet
of the SuperFleece. It must be guaranteed the water
ows out of the SuperFleece without any resistance.
Alternatively, it can be placed above the water level,
so that the puried water can ow freely back into the
aquarium.
Also assure the DC-motor is kept dry at any
circumstance.
