  • Hello! I've reviewed the Installation Profile document for the TOA audio and intercom systems installed at the James Paton Health Centre. This document describes the use of the BG-2240D-AM Mixer Amplifier, PC-580S Series Ceiling Speakers, and the N-8000 IP Intercom Series to provide secure, touchless door access and ambient music for the pharmacy. James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre is one of
two acute care referral centres in the central region. It
provides a wide variety of emergency, acute care and
specialized medical services. It has about 85 acute care
beds, and offers a number of specialty services.

The installation went well and everything worked as it should. The cost came under budget,
and the customer was happy two times.
For the BGM TOA recommended the cost effective PC-580 speakers and powered by the
reliable and easy to use BG amplifier. For the door access TOA provide the Exchange
interface and master station and utilized a 3rd part wave sensor that integrated well with
the N-8000. Now with a wave of the hand the door would open.

Challenges
The door access need to be touchless. It was essential to keep staff and customers safe from
cross contamination and pass on viruses. The Hospital also wanted a system that was within
budget.
