8. Troubleshooting & Maintenance
1) Question: How to distinguish between the transmitting terminal of FODV301 and
the receiving terminal of FODV301, and what kind of device can be
connected to each terminal?
Answer: FODV301T is the transmitter, which can be connected to a video
source device (such as a PC, a DVD player etc.). And FODV301R is the
receiver, which can be connected to an HD displaying device (such as a
TV, a displayer, a projector etc.)
2) Question: What the maximum transmission distance in theory that FODV301
supports should be?
Answer: Transmitted by a single core fiber, the distance can be 10km via a
single mode fiber, and 300m via a multimode fiber.
3) Question: Can we use an USB power of the HD displayer to provide power supply
to FODV301R?
Answer: Yes, if the display provides with an enough power supply (DC 5V,
500mA).
Notice: When the displayer is in power saving mode, FODV301R may not work.
4) Question: Why there is no output image when the LED indicator keeps lighting?
Answer: a). Check if the DVI interfaces are connected well at the input end and
the output end.
b). HDCP is not supported in FODV301, if it is included in the source
device, there will be no output image.
