1. Read and understand all instructions.

2. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product.

3. Use only with class 2 power source DC 9V 300mA.

4. Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol

cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.

5. Do not use this product near water; for example, near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink or laundry

tub, in a wet basement or near a swimming pool.

6. Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand, or table. The product may fall, causing

serious damage to the product.

7. Slots and openings in the cabinet back or bottom are provided for ventilation. To protect it

from overheating, these openings must not be blocked or covered. The openings should

never be blocked by placing the product on the bed, sofa, rug or other similar surfaces. This

product should never be placed near or over a radiator or heat register. This product should not be

placed in an enclosed environment unless proper ventilation is provided.

8. Do not allow anything to rest on the power cord. Do not locate this product where the cord will

be pinched or walked on.

9. Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords as this can result in risk of fire or electrical shock.

10. Never push objects of any kind into this product through cabinet slots as they may touch

dangerous voltage points or short out parts that could result in a risk of fire or electrical shock.

Never spill liquid of any kind on the product.

11. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not disassemble this product. Instead take it to a

qualified service person when se rvice or repair work is required. Opening or removing covers

may expose you to da ngerous voltages or other risks. Incorrect re-assembly can cause

electrical shock when the appliance is subsequently used.

1. Use only the type and size of batteries specified in the users manual.

2. Do not dispose of the batteries in a fire. The cells may explode. Check with local codes for

possible special disposal instruc tions.

3. Do not open or mutilate the batteries. Released electrolyte is corrosive and may cause damage to

the eyes or skin. It m ay be toxic if swallowed.

4. Exercise care in handling batteries in order not to short the battery with conducting ma terials such

5. Do not attempt to recharge the batteries with or identified for use with this product. The

batteries may leak corrosive electrolyte or explode.

6. Do not attempt to rejuvenate the batteries provided with or identified for use with this product by

heating them. Sudden release of the battery electrolyte may occur causing burns or irritation to

eyes or skin.

7. When repla cing batteries, all batteries should be replaced at the same time. Mixing fresh and

discharged batteries could increase internal cell pressure and rupture the discharged batteries.

8. When inserting the batteries into this product, the proper polarity or direction must be

observed. Reverse insertion of batteries can cause charging, which may result in leakage or

explosion.

9. Remove the batteries from this product if the product will not be used for a long period of time

(several months or more) since during this time the batteries could leak, damaging the product.

10. Discard "dead" batteries as soo n as possible since they are more likely to leak in a product.

11. Do not store this product, or the batteries provided with or for iden tified use with this product, in

high temperature areas.

12. If your product uses a rechargeable battery, charge the battery(ies) only in accordance with the

Setting the date and time

Your CT-P9340 handset can display th e time and date. You should

set it to the correct t ime an d day at this time. For your first setting on

your telephone, follo w the instruc tion below to set the time and d ate.

Scroll to "Date & Time" by pressing th e or bu tton, then

press "OK".

Press " OK" to enter the Date setti ng int erface .

Use the keypad and the or butto n to enter t he current

date with DATE\MONTH fo rmat.

interface.

Making Calls

Lift t he ha ndset and press the button. "Talking" will be

displayed.

Dial the phone number.

When finished talking, p ress the button or place the handset

on th e base unit or charger. The LCD will display the total call

time j ust now.

increase the volume or to decrease the volume while in the

Using Caller ID service

This unit is Caller ID compatible. To use Caller ID features, you

must subscribe to your telep hone compa ny's Caller I D service.

If you subscribe to both Caller ID and Call Waiting with Caller ID

services, the 2nd caller's information will be displayed after y ou

hear a Call Wa iting tone.

For Call Waiting service u sers

To use Call Waiting, you must subscribe to y our telephone

company's Call Waiting service. T his fe atur e allows you t o receive

calls while you are already t alking on the phone. If yo u receive a c all

while on the ph one, y ou will hear a call while on the phone, you will

hear a Call Wa iting tone.

Press the button to answer the 2nd call.

The 1st call is put on hold while y ou an swer the 2nd call.

To switch be tween calls, press the button.

Caller list

Caller in formation for the l ast 30 different callers w ill be logged in

the caller li st. You can use t he list to re turn missed ca lls.

If a call is not a nswered, the unit treats t he call as a m issed call. The

nu m be r o f mis se d c al ls is s h own o n the h a nd se t disp l ay.

Caller information includes caller names and phone numbers , the

data and time o f calls .

the dial mode as TONE, ot herwise, set to PULSE.

Flash Tim e

The flash time depends on your teleph one ex change or host PBX.

You can select: "90ms"(milliseconds), "100ms", "110ms", " 250 ms",

" 300ms ", " 400ms ", " 600m s", or " 700ms" (d ef ault) .

The setting should stay at 700ms unles s pressing th e FLASH

button fails to pick up the Call Waiting call.

If the unit is connected via a PBX, certain PBX functio ns (call

transferring, etc.)may not work correc tly. Consult your PBX

supplier for the co rrect s etting.

NOTE:

Enter the "Line Set" menu.

be protected with user PIN. The default PIN is 0000. You can

change d this PIN c ode, you must choose a PIN number which is

easy to remember b y you or write the PIN code secretly. The digit

If you subscribe to voice mail from the telephone company and if

there a re voice message that have been left in your voice mail box,
