AsitcomplieswithPart68oftheFCCrules,yourunithasbeenregisteredwiththeFCC.
TheFCCrequiresustoprovideyouwiththefollowinginformation:
1.Connectionandusewiththenationwidetelephonenetwork:
TheFCCrequiresthatyouconnecttoanationwidetelephonenetworkthroughamodular
telephoneoutletwhichisPart68compliant.
Thisequipmentmaynotbeusedoncoinserviceprovidedbythetelephonecompany.
Connectiontopartylinesissubjecttostatetariffs.Checkwithyourlocaltelephone
company.
2.Notificationtothetelephonecompany:
FCCrulesrequirethatuponrequestyouprovidethefollowinginformationtothephone
company.
A.Theline(telephonenumber)towhichyouwillconnectthetelephoneequipment
B.TheRegistrationNumberandRingerEquivalenceNumber(REN).Thesenumbersare
foundonthebackorbottomofyourtelephoneequipment.TheRENisusefultodetermine
thequantityofdevicesyoumayconnecttoyourtelephonelineandstillhaveallofthose
devicesringwhenyourtelephonenumberiscalled.Inmost,butnotallareas,thesumall
RENsshouldbe5orless.Todeterminethenumberofdevicespermittedinyourarea,
contactyourlocaltelephonecompany.
3.Repairinstructions:
Ifitisdeterminedthatyourtelephoneequipmentismalfunctioning,theFCCrequiresthatit
notbeusedandbeunpluggedfromthemodularoutletuntiltheproblemhasbeen
corrected.Repairstothistelephoneequipmentcanbemadeonlybythemanufactureror
itsauthorizedagents,orbyotherswhomaybeauthorizedbyTheFCC.Unauthorized
repairsvoidregistrationandwarranty.
4.Rightsofthetelephonecompany:
Ifyourproductiscausingharmtothetelephonenetwork,thetelephonecompanymay
temporarilydiscontinueyourservice.Ifpossible,theywillnotifyyouinadvance.Butif
advancenoticeisn'tpractical,youwillbenotifiedassoonaspossible.Youwillbegiven
theopportunitytocorrecttheproblem,andyouwillbeinformedofyourrighttofilea
complaintwiththeFCC.Yourtelephonecompanymaymakechangesinitsfacilities,
equipment,operationsorproceduresthatcouldaffecttheproperfunctioningofyour
telephoneequipment.Ifsuchchangesareplanned,youwillbenotifiedinadvance.
5.Thisproductiscompatiblewithinductivelycoupledhearingaids.
