E’ vietata la riproduzione di qualsiasi parte di questo

Al fine di salvaguardare la sicurezza, l’incolumità
dell’operatore ed il funzionamento dell’apparato,
devono essere rispettate le seguenti norme installative:
CONDIZIONI AMBIENTALI
Temperatura ambiente Umidità relativa
da -5 a +45°C dal 20 a 80% n.c.
Si dovrà evitare ogni cambiamento rapido di temperatura
e umidità.
Il sistema compresi i cavi, deve venire installato in un luogo
privo o distante da:
l Polvere, umidità, calore elevato ed esposizione diretta alla
luce del sole.
l Oggetti che irradiano calore. Questi potrebbero causare
danni al contenitore o altri problemi.
l Oggetti che producono un forte campo elettromagnetico
(altoparlanti Hi-Fi, ecc.)
l Liquidi o sostanze chimiche corrosive.
PULIZIA DELL’APPARATO
Usare un panno soffice asciutto senza l’ausilio di
solventi.
VIBRAZIONI O URTI
Attenzione a non causare vibrazioni o urti.

provocare radio disturbi. In questo caso può essere

The following installation rules should be respected in
order to have the best working order of the equipment
and for the user’s safety
ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS
Enviromental temperature Relative humidity
from -5 a +45°C from 20 to 80% n.c.
Rapid changes of temperature or humidity should be
avoided.
This equipment, including cables, should be installed
in an area free from:
l Dust, humidity, heat from direct sun light.
l Objects which irradiate heat. These could cause damage to
the container or other problems.
l Objects which produce a strong electtromagnetic field
(loudspeakers, etc.)
l Liquids or chemical corrosive substances.
CLEANING THE TERMINAL
Use a clean and soft cloth. Wet the cloth with water or
natural detergent if it is necessary to remove any stains.
Never use chemical products such as petrol or solvents.
VIBRATIONS OR DROPPING
Caution against vibrations and dropping.
WARNING: This is a class A product.
In a domestic environment this product may cause radio
interference in which case the user may be required to
take adequate measures.

INSTALLAZIONE HARDWARE
Dopo aver tolto il prodotto dalla confezione verificate l’integrità
dell’apparato. Proseguite seguendo i passi di seguito indicati.
1. Collegate il cavetto di adattamento al GSM - Palladio USB e rispettate il
corretto verso di inserimento indicato dal simbolo .

2. Collegate il cavetto al vostro telefono cellulare avendo cura di rispettare
l’esatto lato di inserimento.

INSTALLATION HARDWARE
Remove the modem from its package and check it is OK. Proceed in accordance with the following instructions:
1. Connect the miniDIN (6 pins) cable to the Palladio USB socket: be careful to the right insertion. In any case, a mechanical
key is present on the socket to avoid an incorrect insertion (Picture 1).
2. Connect the cable for your GSM phone (Picture 2).
3. Connect the USB cable to the USB socket on your Computer. If you have any problems identifying the USB socket on
your Computer, refer to the User’s Manual of your PC (Picture 3).

1. Dopo aver collegato Palladio USB
Windows 98®, vi informerà che una
nuova periferica “Plug & Play “ è stata
rilevata.
La presenza di tale dispositivo sarà
evidenziata dalla seguente schermata:

Windows® 98 detects automatically the
presence of the new USB hardware.

Windows 98 eine neue Hardware finden.
2. Selezionate Avanti.
2. Click Next.
2. Klicken Sie auf Weiter.
3. Selezionate Cerca il miglior driver e
premete Avanti.
3. Select Search for the best driver for
your device and click Next.
3. Wählen Sie die Option “Nach dem besten
Treiber für das Gerät suchen
(empfohlen).” Klicken Sie auf Weiter.

4. Nel caso sia presente un floppy disk con
i driver, Selezionate Unità Floppy.
Nota: nel caso in cui NON fosse il presente
il floppy, i driver saranno presenti nel
CD-ROM allegato.
- Selezionate Specificare un
percorso,
- Selezionate Sfoglia.
- Cercate all’interno del CD-ROM la
directory Driver\ USB\ Win98\ Palladio
USB,
- Selezionate Avanti.
4. Select Floppy disk drivers.
Note: in case the floppy disk is not
available, select Specify a location click
Browse and look for the directory Driver/
USB/Win98/Palladio USB in the CD-ROM
included in the package.
4. Sollte eine Treiber-Diskette mitgeliefert
werden, legen Sie Diese in das
Diskettenlaufwerk ein, und klicken Sie das
Kästchen “Disketten-Laufwerk” an.
Falls keine Diskette mitgeliefert wurde,
sind die benötigten Treiber auf der
beigelegten CD-ROM.
- Wählen Sie “Bitte geben Sie eine Position
an”.
- Wälen Sie “Durchsuchen”.
- Suchen Sie in der CD-ROM das
Verzeichnis Driver\USB\Win98\Palladio
USB.
- Klicken Sie auf Weiter.

UTILIZZO DI PALLADIO USB CON WINPHONE O PROGRAMMI NON TAPI
HOW TO USE PALLADIO USB WITH NON TAPI APPLICATION
WIE BENUTZE ICH DAS PALLADIO USB MODEM MIT WINPHONE ODER EINER NICHT TAPI-
KOMPATIBLEN ANWENDUNG
Per utilizzare Palladio USB con Winphone o programmi dati/fax che non utilizzano le TAPI di Windows® è
necessario procedere alla configurazione “manuale” del driver GSM. Questa operazione si esegue utilizzando
il programma SetGSM fornito a corredo del Palladio USB (se non presente nel floppy controllate sul CD-
ROM).
Nota: Per l’utilizzo del SetGSM con porte USB deve essere utilizzata la versione 2.0 o superiore.
Palladio USB can work with data/fax non-TAPI application as WinPhone or others. In this case you need to
select the correct GSM driver using the utility SetGSM (rel 2.0 or later) available in the CD-ROM included in
the package.
Run SetGSM, it detect automatically the hardware installed scanning the serial ports.
Um das Palladio USB Modem mit Winphone oder Fax- und Datenanwendungen die nicht die TAPI-Schnittstelle
von Windows benutzen muss der Treiber mittels einer separaten Anwendung “SetGSM” manuell konfiguriert
werden. Das Programm “SetGSM” das entweder auf der Diskette oder der CD-ROM befindet.
Note: Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie die Version 2.0 oder höher benutzen.
Una volta individuato il modem potrete selezionare il Driver GSM relativo al vostro telefono cellulare GSM.
Attualmente Palladio USB supporta i seguenti telefoni cellulari GSM:

Starten Sie SetGSM und das Programm findet automatisch alle angeschlossenen Modems. Wählen Sie danach
den richtigen Treiber für Ihr Modem. Aktuell werden folgende Modelle unterstützt.

l Dopo aver collegato Palladio USB, Mac/OS vi informerà che una nuova periferica è stata rilevata.
l After the hardware installation, the MacOS detect automatically the new presence of the new hardware.
l Après l'installation matérielle de votre boîtier, Mac OS détecte automatiquement sa présence.
l Una vez finalizada la instalación del hardware, el MacOS detectará automáticamente la presencia de un
nuevo dispositivo.
l Nach dem Verbinden des Modems wird das MACOS eine neue Hardware finden.
l När du har installerat enheten, identifieras den automatiskt av Mac OS.
1. La presenza di tale dispositivo sarà evidenziata dalla seguente
schermata:

2. Click OK and disconnect the modem from the computer’s USB port.

2. Klicken sie auf OK und trennen Sie das Palladio USB Modem nun von der USB Schnittstelle.

3. A questo punto inserite il CD-Rom che trovate a corredo del modem.
Trascinate il file di estensione USB Palladio presente nella cartella DRIVER/USB/PALLADIO USB sulla cartella di
sistema del vostro disco fisso.
3. Insert the CD-ROM included in the package: look for the folder DRIVER/USB/PALLADIO USB, drag and drop the
USBPalladio extension file to the System folder.
3. Insérez le CD-ROM, inclus avec le adaptateur PalladioUSB. Ouvrez le dossier "driver USB/PALLADIO USB", et glissez/
déposez sur votre dossier Système.
3. Inserte el CD-ROM incluído en la caja, busque la carpeta DRIVER/USB/PALLADIO USB, arrastrey suelte en la Carpeta del
Sistema.
3. Legen Sie die befügte CD-ROM in das CD-ROM-Laufwerk ein und öffnen Sie den Ordner DRIVER/USB/PALLADIO USB.
Ziehen Sie die Palladio USB Modem Erweiterungsdatei in den Systemordner.
3. Mata in CD-ROM-skivan som följde med programpaketet. Leta reda på mappen DRIVER/USB/PALLADIO USB och dra
den till mappen Tillägg i systemmappen.

4. Confermate la copia del driver con OK.
4. Click OK to confirm the copy.
4. Cliquez sur le bouton OK pour confirmer.
4. Haga clic en OK para confirmar la copia.
4. Bestätigen Sie das Kopieren des Treibers mit OK.
4. Klicka på OK för att bekräfta kopieringen.
5. Dopo aver copiato l’estensione, passiamo alla copia del driver ARA (CCL Script).

5. Nachdem wir die Erweiterung kopiert haben müssen wir den ARA-Treiber (CCL-Skript) installieren.

6. Selezionate sul CD-ROM la cartella DRIVER/MAC/ARA/PALLADIOGSM.
6. Browse on the CD-ROM the folder DRIVER/MAC/ARA/PALLADIOGSM.
6. Naviguer sur le dossier Driver/MAC/ARA/PALLADIOGSM du CD-ROM.
6. Busque en el CD-ROM la Carpeta DRIVER/MAC/ARA/PALLADIOGSM.

7. Trascinate l’estensione di Palladio USB relativa al vostro telefono cellulare
GSM (es. Ericsson T18s) nella Cartella Sistema e confermate la copia.
7. Drag and drop the Palladio USB driver for your GSM phone (i.e. Ericsson
T18) to the System Folder and confirm the copy.
7. Glissez / déposez le pilote Palladio USB de votre téléphone GSM (c’est à dire
Ericsson T18) dans le Dossier Système et confirmer.
7. Arrastre y suelte el driver Palladio USB para su teléfono GSM (i.e. Ericsson
T18) en la Carpeta del Sistema y confirmar la copia.
7. Ziehen Sie die Palladio USB Modem Erweiterung die Ihrem GSM-Telefon
entspricht (z.B. Ericsson T18s) in den Ordner System und bestätigen Sie das
Kopieren.
7. Dra drivrutinen Palladio USB som hör till GSM-telefonen (t.ex. Ericsson T18)

12.Alla voce Connect via dovrà essere presente il Palladio USB.

13.Wälen Sie aus der Liste der verfügbaren Modems das vorher installierte Palladio USB Modem.
13.Välj den drivrutin som du just installerat i Modem.
14.Chiudete la finestra e salvate.
14.Close all and Save.
14.Fermez tout et sauvegardez.
14.Cerrar y Guardar.
14.Schliessen Sie das Fenster und speichern Sie die Änderung.
14.Stäng alla fönster och spara de nya inställningarna.
15.Selezionate dalla barra dei menù RemoteAccess TCP/IP.
15.Select from the menu RemoteAccess TCP/IP.
15. Sélectionnez dans "Remote access TCP/IP".
15.Elija del menú AccesoRemoto, TCP/IP.
15.Von der Menuleiste wählen Sie Remote Access und dann TCP/IP.

16.Quindi alla voce Connect via deve essere selezionato: PPP.

17.Chiudete la finestra TCP/IP e salvate.
17.Close the TCP/IP window and save the changes.

18.Impostate i vostri dati per l’accesso remoto ad Internet nel menù Remote Access alla voce Name (dovete inserire il
vostro identificativo), quindi la password. In caso di dubbi sui parametri per l’accesso ad Internet contattate il vostro
provider.
18.Insert the right parameters for your Internet access: name (userID), password and telephone number to dial. For more
details ask to your Internet Service Provider.
18. Insérez les bons parramètres pour votre accès Internet: nom (userID), mot de passe et numéro de téléphone à composer.
Pour plus de détails demandez avec votre fournisseur d'accès Internet.
18. Inserte los datos de su acceso a Internet: usuario, clave y número de teléfono de acceso. Para más información, contacte
con su proveedor de Internet.
18.Tragen Sie jetzt Ihre Zugangsdaten wie die Rufnummer, den Benutzername und das Kennwort ein. Kontaktieren Sie bei
Fragen dazu Ihren Internet Anbieter um weitere Informationen zu erhalten.
18. Skriv in rätt parametrar för din Internet-anslutning: namn (användar-ID), lösenord och telefonnummer. Mer information
lämnas av din Internet-leverantör.
19.Cliccate su Options e controllate che alla voce Protocol Use Protocol sia selezionato PPP.
19.Click on Options and verify the choice PPP in Protocol Use Protocol.
19.Cliquez sur "options" et vérifiez le choix PPP dans
"Protocole utilisé".
19. Haga clic en Opcion es y compruebe que PPP esté
activo en Usar Protocolo.
19. Klicken Sie Optionen und dort den Reiter Protokoll.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie beim Punkt
‘verwendetes Protokoll’ ‘PPP’ angewählt haben.
19. Klicka på Alternativ och bekräfta inställningen PPP
på fliken Protokoll.
20.Cliccate OK.

ADDENDUM AL MANUALE OPERATIVO “PALLADIO USB”

Procedura per utilizzare il Palladio USB GSM con Kit 5 (Nokia 6210 e 7110):
1) Collegare il Palladio USB al PC/MAC
2) Collegare il telefono cellulare spento
3) Accendere il telefono cellulare
Seguire questa procedura attentamente, altrimenti il Palladio USB GSM potrebbe non
funzionare. Il messaggio “Con auricolare” visualizzato dal Telefono indica che la procedura
non è stata rispettata.
Attenzione:
Se il Pc/Mac va in stand-by o si riavvia, sarà necessario spegnere e riaccendere il telefono cellulare.

This procedure is to be followed when using Palladio USB GSM with Kit 5 (Nokia 6210
and 7110):
1) Connect Palladio USB to your PC/MAC
2) Connect the mobile phone powered off
3) Now power on the mobile phone
Follow this procedure step by step, otherwise Palladio USB won’t work. If the phone displays
the message “Headset”, it means the procedure hasn’t been correctly carried out.
Attention:
If the PC/MAC goes in standby condition or restart, you will have to turn off and then turn on your
mobile phone.
