A two-wire or three-wire, single-phase,
23Dvolt, 50-Hz, AC-only, 1 Sampere
electrical supply (or a three-wire, 240-volt,
60-Hz, 20-ampere electrical supply if
specified on serial/rating plate) is required
on a separate circuit. A time-delay fuse or
circuit breaker is recommended.
This appliance is equipped with a Schuko-
type power supply cord. To minimize
possible shock hazard, the cord must be
plugged into a mating wall receptacle. See
Figures 1 and 3, Panel B.

230-volt minimum, 15-ampere (or 240-volt
minimum, 20-ampere), dryer power supply
cord (pigtail). A suitable strain relief must be
provided at the point where the power
supply cord connects to the dryer (see
Figures 1 and 2).

The power supply cord must have two,
No.-10 copper wires to match a two-wire
receptacle; or three, No.-1 0 copper wires to
match a three-wire receptacle.
Direct wire
The dryer can be connected directly to the
fused, disconnect or circuit breaker box with
two-wire or three-wire flexible, armored or
non-metallic sheathed copper cable (with
grounding wire). Do Not use two-wire with
bare groundlng wire. All current carrying
wires must be Insulated.
A conduit connector must be installed at
the junction box. USE ONLY lo-GAUGE SOLID
COPPER WIRE. DO NOT USE ALUMINUM
WIRE. Allow four feet of stack in the line so
the dryer can be moved if servicing is ever
necessary.

4. Power supply cord:
Loosen or remove
the terminal block screws. Connect the
two wires of the power supply cord under
the outer terminal block screws.
Connect the grounding wire from the
power supply cord to the external
grounding conductor screw (see Figure 7).
Tighten

any dust before using the dryer.
The
maximum length using a 2” x 6” rectangular duct
with 2 elbows and a 2-l/2” (TYPE C) exhaust hood is 8 ft.
For exhaust systems
not covered by the
exhaust length chart, check with your dealer
or distributor for information.
Service
check:
The back pressure in any
exhaust system used must not exceed 0.6
inches of water column measured with an
inclined manometer at the point that the
exhaust duct connects to the dryer.

installations. The installation of the dryer must
conform to the Manufactured Home
Construction and Safety Standard, Title 24

and Safety, Title 24, HUD Part 280, 1975) or
the latest edition.

by hand. Use a 1” socket wrench or other
type wrench to finish turning the legs until
you reach the diamond marking.

top of the dryer, first slde to side, then front
to back. If dryer is not level, adjust the legs of
the dryer up or down. Dryer must be level to
prevent noise and poor drying performance.

The dryer may be Installed In a recessed area
or closet.
Fire Hazard
It the dryer Is Installed In a closet, the
dryer MUST be exhausted outslde.
Failure to do so may result In a tlre.

The installation spacing is in inches and is
minimum allowable.
Additional spacing should be considered for
ease of installation, servicing and compliance
with local codes and ordinances.
If closet door is installed, the minimum
unobstructed air openlngs in top and bottom
is required. Louvered doors with equivalent air
openings are acceptable. Closet lnstallatlon
must be exhausted. Other installations must
use the minimum dimensions indicated.
Companion appliance spacing should be
considered.
For recessed, non-exhausted Installation,
Exhaust Dellector Klt, Part No. 346001, Is
required.

Shut off electric supply to dryer.

Disconnect power supply cord and tape
securely to dryer.

Tape the drum to the front panel.

Screw leveling legs all the way in.
Before having your electric dryer installed in
your new home, check with a licensed
electrician to confirm that the supply
voltage matches the voltage specified on
the serial/rating plate.

This dryer is equipped with a special motor
drive pulley having two belt positions
This dryer is shipped from the factory with the
belt in the 50-Hz position on the motor drive
pulley. (Belt is in the groove nearest the
motor - the larger diameter position). It is
necessary to reposition the belt when
changing to a power supply having a
frequency of 60 Hz because the motor
speed is affected by the frequency of the
power supply.
3. To change belt tram 50-Hz posltlon to
60-Hz posltlon:
Gently pull belt toward you and turn drum
counterclockwise
one tull turn
until belt
moves to the front pulley groove (groove
nearest to you). Release belt and close toe
panel.

Using a putty knife, press down on the two
toe panel clips located at the top left and
right of the toe panel. Pull outward on the
toe panel to open. The toe panel is hinged
at the bottom.

supply frequency is 50-Hz, the belt should be
in the groove nearest the motor. If the
frequency is 60-Hz. the belt should be in the
small-diameter groove.
NOTE:
Always push drum y
counterclockwise. ,
3. To change belt tram 60-Hz posltlon to
50-Hz posltlon:
Gently push belt away from you while
turning drum counterclockwise
one tull turn
until belt moves to the rear pulley groove
(groove nearest motor). Release belt and
close toe panel.
