Removing the monitor
If mounted with the supplied support, the monitor can be
removed from the holder for advanced theft protection.

Press the release button (concealed on the rear of the
monitor connector) and gently pull the monitor upwards.

Do not push on the display screen to avoid damage of the
LCD.
Installing the monitor

Gently slide the monitor onto the support until it clicks into
position.
Adjusting the monitor
If mounted on the supplied support, the monitor can be adjusted to your viewing angle.

Turn the monitor until the best angle of view is reached.
☞
Press the release button on the monitor support to tilt the monitor to its best position.
Switching on / off
The MM 5200 switches itself on and off automatically together with the navigation system
(ignition/ACC).

The red LED indicates operational readiness.
Changing the monitor settings
The MM 5200 provides the following setting options:
❏ Display brightness
❏ Display mirroring (normal, overhead)
■ Activating setting mode

Remove the remote control from the active holder RCD 5400
(if available).

Press the V and W buttons at the same time.

The ready LED on the monitor blinks to indicate setting mode.

Setting the display brightness
The MM 5200 is equipped with a light sensor, which automatically adjusts the display bright

ness to the ambient light conditions.
The basic brightness for automatic brightness control can be set as follows:

Press the 4 or 6 button on the remote control to increase or reduce the set value.

Maximum brightness / switching off automatic brightness control
In situations where automatic control does not provide adequate display brightness, for
example, automatic brightness control can be switched off and the display brightness can be
set to the maximum value.

Set the minimum display brightness using the 4 button.

Press the 4 button again.

Automatic brightness control is switched off and the maximum display brightness is set.

Press the 6 button to reactivate automatic brightness control.
