Touch Learning System, children have a fun new way of learning

right at their fingertips. Thanks to great touch screen games that require players to

use their fingers in ways that mimic real life motions, children will feel like they’re a

part of the action. And as they explore with their hands, they will also challenge their

minds and learn valuable lessons about numbers, counting, letters, spelling, problem

solving, music, and more!

• SlidingScreen

Slide the screen up or down to show or hide the keyboard.

• ON/OFFButton

Press this button to turn the MobiGo

on and off. If

you press the ON button while playing a game, it will

start over from the beginning.

• DirectionalPad

Press the directional pad left, right, up, or down to

control the characters in some games.

• TouchScreen

Use your finger to operate the touch screen.

• Keyboard

Use the keyboard to type in your name or to give

the answers in some letter-based games.

• LeftBatteryCompartment

Holds 2 X AA batteries (not included). See page 4

for installation details.

• USBPort

Use the included USB cable to connect to a

computer. See pages 8-9 for connection details.

• VolumeButton

Press right to increase the volume or left to

decrease it.

• Insert4X1.5VsizeAAAM-3orLR6batteries

(not included) as illustrated.

• Makesuretoreplacethebatterycovers.

BATTERY NOTICE

• Installbatteriescorrectlyobservingthepolarity(+, -) signs to avoid leakage.

• Non-rechargeablebatteriesarenottoberecharged.

• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision (if

removable).

• Rechargeablebatteriesaretoberemovedfromthetoybeforebeingcharged

(if removable).

•Do not mix batteries of different types: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or

rechargeable(Ni-MH).

NOTE: When the MobiGo

is running on batteries,

you may see this icon appear on the screen

indicates that battery power is low, and you should replace

thebatteriessoon.Batterytimeremainingoncetheicon

firstappearsisapproximately10-30minutes,depending

on the type of batteries in use.

To preserve battery life, MobiGo

will automatically turn off after several minutes without

input. The MobiGo

canbeturnedonagainbypressingtheON/OFFbutton.

1. The use of an adaptor will override the batteries. When the toy is not going to be in use

for an extended period of time, unplug the adaptor.

2. When disconnecting any plugs from the MobiGo

or wall outlet, carefully pull by the plug

itself rather than by the cord.

3. When you finish playing, always turn the MobiGo

off and unplug the AC adaptor from

both the wall socket and the MobiGo

4. DonotwraptheACadaptorcordaroundaroundtheMobiGo

, or it may damage the

touch screen.

5. To preserve energy, MobiGo

STANDARD GUIDELINES FOR ADAPTOR TOYS

cartridge with the label side

facing up, and push it until it clicks into place.

• PresstheONButtontobegin.

• Toremoveyourgame,firstturnthepoweroff.

Pull the cartridge up to remove it.

IMPORTANT CARTRIDGE GUIDELINES:

• Always check the

MobiGo

cartridge connector for any foreign materials by

pushing the cartridge door to open it.

• Alwaysbesuretoinsertthecartridgecorrectly.

• Donotturnthepowerofforremovethecartridgewhileplaying.

Using the MobiGo

MobiGo

featuresatouchsensitiveLCDscreen.Youcanuseyourfingertooperate

the screen in a variety of ways. A few of the most common touch operations are

shown below.

Moveyourfingeralongthescreenwithout

lifting it.

Move your finger in a circle. Move your finger quickly in any direction

and then let go.

Touch any point on the screen.

• Touchthescreenlightlywiththetipofyourfinger.

• Useonlyenoughpressureasneededtooperatethegame.Excessivepressure

may damage the touch screen.

• Donottouchthescreenwithanysharporhardobjects,oryoumightscratch

the screen.

• ToprotecttheMobiGo

when it’s not in use, store it in the MobiGo

Screen Cleaning Procedure

IfyourMobiGo

screen gets dirty, wipe it gently with a soft cloth.

1. Slightly dampen the soft cloth with a little water and wipe off the screen.

2. Wipe the screen again with a dry cloth to dry it.

Caps Lock Key-Pressthiskeytochangebetween

capital and small letters.

Number Lock Key -Totypeinanumber,firstpress

to activate number lock. Then, use the keys

in the top row of the keyboard, or tap the numbers in

the onscreen number pad, to enter a number. Press

again to turn off number lock.

Symbol Key - Press to open the onscreen

symbol list. Touch the arrows to scroll through the

symbols. Then touch a symbol to select it.

Help Key-Pressthiskeyifyouneedhelpinagame.

OrpresstheHelpButton(locatedtotherightofthe

Space Bar-Pressthiskeytoaddablankspace.

Left & Right Keys-Pressthesekeystomovethecursorleftorright.Theycanalso

be used in place of the left and right arrows on the directional pad in some games.

Enter Key-Pressthiskeytoconfirmaselection.

Delete Key-Pressthiskeytoeraseacharacter,ortobackspace.

Connect to the ComputerConnect to the Computer

Connect MobiGo

to the computer to go to the

MobiGo

website.Here,kidscanearncoolrewards

for doing well in the games. They can also track

their progress in specific curriculum areas and even

download new MobiGo

games!

NOTE: WhennotusingtheUSBcable,please

ensurethattheUSBportcoverisproperlyclosed.

Before you can connect the MobiGo

to your computer, you need to install the

software and register on the MobiGo

website.

To begin the software download and registration process, please go to:

www.vtechuk.com/download to download the setup file and registration guide.

Oncethesetupprocessiscomplete,connecttheMobiGo

to the computer using

theUSBcableprovided.

NOTE: Ifthepowersupplyisinterruptedduringthetransferofdatatoandfrom

the MobiGo

, the data on the MobiGo

maybelost.Beforeconnection,

please check to make sure that your batteries are not running low on

power, or use an AC Adaptor as a power source during the connection

process.

IftheMobiGo

is connected properly, you will see the

message “USB Connected” appear on your MobiGo

screen.YouwillbetakendirectlytotheMobiGo

website,

whereyoucanenjoyalloftheonlinefeatures.

The MobiGo

will automatically upload the high score

and progress information for all cartridges played and

downloadanyrewardsyoumayhaveearned.Ifyouwant

to download a new MobiGo

game, choose a game from

the list and wait for confirmation that the download is

complete.Then,ejecttheMobiGo

from the computer

andunplugtheUSBcabletobeginplaying.

YoucanstoreuptothreedownloadedgamesinyourMobiGo’sinternalmemory.

Connectto the LearningLodge Navigator todownload and transferyour games.

Thenchoose“DownloadedGame”fromtheMobiGo

moredownloadedgames.Itworksjustlikeamemorycardandhasenoughroom

to store your entirecollection of downloads. Toaccess the games on the Game

Storage cartridge, plug the cartridge in to the MobiGo

,andchoose“Downloaded

Game”fromthestart-upmenu.

Start-up Menu

When you first turn on your MobiGo

,thestart-upmenuwillappear.Choosefrom

one of the following:

• Cartridge–Ifyouhaveacartridgepluggedin,touchthisicontoenterthecartridge.

• DownloadedGame–TouchthisicontogototheDownloadedGamesmenuand

choose a downloaded game.

• GamePack–TouchthisicontoentertheTouch&LearnGamePackandplayone

of five fun games.

cleanbywipingitwithaslightlydampcloth.Neverusesolvents

or abrasives.

2. Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from direct sources of heat.

3. Removethebatterieswhennotusingitforanextendedperiodoftime.

4. Avoiddroppingit.NEVERtrytodismantleit.

5. AlwayskeeptheMobiGo

away from water.

6.Pleaseexaminethe toytransformerperiodically forconditionsthatmayresultin

theriskoffire,electricshock,orinjurytopersons(suchasdamagetotheoutput

cord, blades, housing, or other parts) and that, in an event of such conditions, the

transformer should not be used until properly repaired.

WARNING

A very small percentage of the public, due to an existing condition, may experience epileptic

seizures or momentary loss of consciousness when viewing certain types of flashing colours

or patterns. While the MobiGo

Touch Learning System does not contribute to any additional

risks,wedorecommendthatparentssupervisetheirchildrenwhiletheyplayvideogames.If

your child experiences dizziness, altered vision, disorientation, or convulsions, discontinue use

immediately and consult your doctor.

Please note that focusing on an LCD screen at close range and handling directional pad 

controls for a prolonged period of time may cause fatigue or discomfort. We recommend that

childrentakea15minutebreakforeveryhourofplay.

• Softlycleanthecontactareaofthecartridge.

• Ifnecessary,dryallthecleancontactareaswithasoft,lint-freecloth.

• Pleasemakesurethatallpartsarecompletelydrybeforerestoring

electricity.

When in an environment that is prone to electrostatic discharge, MobiGo

may

malfunctionandthememory/scoremaybelost.Ifthisproblemoccurs,please

reset MobiGo

byremovingtheUSBcable,pressandholdtheONbuttonfor3

seconds,beforere-pluggingtheUSBcabletorestartthedownloadprocess.
