The USB (Universal Serial Bus) Ports of your WinBook notebook allow
you to add a wide variety of devices to your machine. The USB port can
allow you to connect up to 127 devices at very high data transfer rates.
The LAN Port provides a standard RJ-45 connection for integration with
an existing network or a high-speed (DSL or cable) connection via a net-
work cable.
The PCMCIA (PC Card) Slot allows you to connect Type I or II cards
to your system. Your WinBook notebook will accept one Type I or Type
II card.
The PCMCIA Eject Button allows you to remove the PC Card from
your system.

The Battery Bay stores the primary Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery
pack. The battery pack is stored separately in the shipping box
and must be installed for battery operation and battery recharging.
The Battery Release Levers eject the battery from its bay.
The Expansion Compartment provides access to the RAM and Mini
PCI slots of the notebook.
The Cooling Fan Vents allows airflow into and throughout your notebook
and help to keep the interior within proper operating temperatures. Do not
block these vents when the WinBook is in use. Do not operate your note-
book inside a tight-fitting cover or case that blocks the cooling vents.
The Hard Disk Drive is removable and can be upgraded to allow for
greater storage capacity.

If you ever are prompt-
ed for a User Key, you
can find your User Key
number on a sticker on the
bottom of your unit. Please do
not remove the Certificate of
Authenticity sticker (Product Key
xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx)
that is attached to the bottom
of your WinBook, as another
number cannot be issued. We
can NOT provide a replacement!
It is advisable to copy the product
key to another location in case
the sticker comes loose or is lost.
Every effort has been
made to make certain
that your WinBook
notebook system will function
properly. If you experience a
problem when you turn on the
notebook and are unsure how
to proceed, contact Technical
Support.
