4. After the wheel has been attached to the flight, check
to verify that the sweep shield mount holes align
with the holes in the wheel mounting bracket.
If the holes do not align, it may be possible to readjust
all the shields to add the extra length needed (begin
at the first shield section and continue towards the
end wheel).
If the shields cannot be readjusted to fit, clamp the
bracket and shield together and mark the appropriate
holes for drilling. Drill an 11/32” (9 mm) dia. hole at
each location.
5. Secure using the 5/16” x 1” bolts, flat washers and
nylon locknuts. Note: It may be necessary to use
flat washers as spacers to fill any gaps between the
shield and wheel mount bracket (spacers go in
between the shield and the wheel mount bracket,
See Fig. 3).
It may also be necessary to use a longer bolt when
adding these spacers). When tightening the bracket
and shield hardware, make sure the shield does not
twist or have to be pulled into position, use the
spacers accordingly.

3. Apply anti-seize compound to the wheel shaft and
insert the shaft into the end of the sweep flight.
Secure the shaft and flight using the appropriate
length bolt and nylon locknut (See Fig. 5).

Installation of these kits is very similar. Though some
items may differ in appearance than what is shown in
the following illustrations, the assembly procedures
detailed can be used as installation instructions for any
of these three kits.
Some applications may require the wheel shaft
to be drilled to ensure flight connection to shaft. If
necessary, drill the new hole at 90 degrees from
the existing hole.
1. Remove the existing sweep wheel from the sweep
auger if applicable.
2. Attach the sweep wheel to the mounting bracket and
secure using the 1/4” x 3/4” bolts and lock washers.
IMPORTANT! Tighten the inside bolts first when
installing the wheel to the bracket (See Fig. 4).
Shields and flights may require some adjustment
in order to make the drive wheel fit properly.
Use spacers and shims to fill any gaps between
the shield and wheel mount bracket.
