Removal:
1) Raise the vehicle and support securely with stands. To ease the removal of the stock system,
spray a penetrating lubricant onto the rubber hangers at the rear of the vehicle as well as the clamped
connection above the rear axle.
2) Support the muffler with a stand, then using a 15mm
socket, loosen the clamp at the muffler inlet connection above
the rear axle.
3) Locate the left and right rear mounts supporting the
muffler, use a 13MM open end wrench to remove the lower bolt
on each mount.
4) Then, use a 13MM socket wrench to remove the upper
bolt on each mount. Once both hangers are un-fastened,
carefully lower the stand and with the help of an assistant slide
the muffler off of the inlet pipe and remove from the vehicle.

5) Place the factory muffler next to the new Flowmaster
High clearance tailpipe assembly and move the drivers side
hanger mount from the muffler onto the wire hanger of the new
pipe.
Installation:
1) Place the supplied clamp onto the inlet of the new tailpipe,
then place the pipe up into position and slide onto the factory
over-axle pipe. Line up the notch in the pipe with the tab on the
over-axle pipe, slide on completely. Support the pipe with a
stand if necessary.
2) Place the factory hanger mount back into position on the
frame and secure using the factory bolts, tighten securely.
3) Adjust the position of the tailpipe to provide a satisfactory fit. A minimum of 1/2” clearance
around all parts of the system must be maintained; while keeping suspension travel and vibration in
mind. After adjustments have been made, you may now securely tighten the clamp.
4) After the system is secure, slide the 7/16” hanger keeper onto the ends of the wire tailpipe
hanger. This will prevent the hanger from slipping out of the rubber mount.
