Removal:
1) Raise the vehicle and support securely with stands. To ease the removal of the stock system,
spray a penetrating lubricant onto the rubber hangers at the rear of the vehicle as well as the clamped
connection above the rear axle.
2) Using a 15mm socket, loosen the clamp at the muffler
inlet connection above the rear axle.
3) Locate the left and right rear mounts supporting the
muffler, use a 13MM open end wrench to remove the lower bolt
on each mount.
4) Then, use a 13MM socket wrench to remove the upper
bolt on each mount. Once both hangers are un-fastened,
carefully lower the stand and with the help of an assistant slide
the muffler off of the inlet pipe and remove from the vehicle.

5) Place the factory muffler next to the new Flowmaster
muffler and move the factory hanger mounts onto the wire
hangers of the new muffler.
Installation:
1) Place the supplied clamp onto the inlet of the new
Flowmaster muffler, then place the muffler up into position and
slide the inlet onto the factory over-axle pipe. Line up the notch
in the inlet pipe with the tab on the over-axle pipe, slide on
completely. Support the muffler with a stand.
2) Place the factory hanger mounts back into position and
secure them to the frame using the factory bolts, tighten
securely.
3) Adjust the position of the muffler to provide a satisfactory fit. A minimum of 1/2” clearance
around all parts of the system must be maintained; while keeping suspension travel and vibration in
mind. After adjustments have been made, you may now securely tighten the clamp.
4) After the system is secure, slide the 7/16” hanger keepers onto the ends of the wire muffler
hangers. These will prevent the hangers from slipping out of the rubber mounts.
