PreparingtheMachine

NoPartsRequired

Procedure

1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengage

thebladecontrolswitch.

2.Movethemotioncontrolleversoutwardtothe

parkposition,stoptheengine,removethekey,and

waitforallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe

operatingposition.

3.Lifttheseatforwardandlowerittotheoorboard

toaccessthebattery,frameandwiringharness.

4.Locatethebatteryandnegativeterminal.

Servicingamachinewithaliveelectricalsystem

canresultinelectricshock.

Always

disconnect

thenegative(black)battery

cablebeforeperforminganyserviceonthe

machine.

5.Disconnectthenegative(black)groundcablefrom

thebatterypost.Retainallfasteners.

Incorrectbatterycableroutingcoulddamage

themachineandcablescausingsparks.Sparks

cancausethebatterygassestoexplode,

resultinginpersonalinjury.

•Always

disconnect

thenegative(black)

batterycablebeforedisconnectingthe

positive(red)cable.

•Always

connect

thepositive(red)battery

cablebeforeconnectingthenegative(black)

cable.

keytorun.Thehourmeterwillrunwhenthe

ignitionkeyisintheRunposition.Anhourglass

symbolashesonthemeterdisplaywhenitis

running.
