Supero X10SLQ Quick Reference Manual

  • Hello! I've reviewed the Supermicro X10SLQ Quick Reference Guide and I'm ready to answer your questions about this motherboard. This guide provides a comprehensive overview of the layout, connectors, jumper settings, and installation procedures, including memory support and expansion slots. Please let me know what you'd like to discuss!
  • What type of memory does the X10SLQ support?
How should I install memory modules for optimal performance?
What is the purpose of the JPW1 and JPW2 connectors?
What are the available expansion slots on the motherboard?

The X10SLQ supports up to 32GB of Unbuffered (UDIMM) DDR3 ECC
1600/1333 MHz in 4 memory slots. Populating these DIMM modules with a pair
of memory modules of the same type and same size will result in interleaved
memory, which will improve memory performance.
Note: For memory optimization, use only DIMM modules that have been validated by Supermicro.
For the latest memory updates, please refer to our website at http://www.supermicro.com/

Memory Population Guidelines
When installing memory modules, the DIMM slots should be populated in the fol-
lowing order: DIMMA2, DIMMB2, then DIMMA1, DIMMB1.
• Always use DDR3 DIMM modules of the same size, type and speed.
• Mixed DIMM speeds can be installed. However, all DIMMs will run at the speed
of the slowest DIMM.
• The motherboard will support odd-numbered modules installed (1 ,3 ,5 ,or 7
modules). However, for best memory performance, install DIMM modules in
pairs.
