USE/OPERATION
Only those who understand the safety instructions and the operating instructions may use the
equipment or product. Exercise caution and care when working with the equipment or prod-
uct and only use it in the way described in the operating instructions. There is a risk of crushing
when working with equipment that has moving parts. Exercise caution when working with
equipment with hydraulic hoses as oil under pressure can penetrate the skin. Immediately
seek medical attention if this should occur. Always work alone with equipment that is made
for working alone.
Respect the equipments risk zone. Operations are performed from the driver's seat.
Assemble the frame and drawbar.
The engine is supplied without oil. Top up with oil before use.

Reduce speed when working on slopes and on uneven ground.
Be aware that various parts of the machine can be hot after use.
Follow the guidelines for towing/pulling equipment/attachments.
Exercise caution when lling the tank with fuel, particularly if any parts are hot.
The machine has been designed for safe and reliable work if used in accordance with the in-
structions and for the intended purpose. Read and understand this manual before using the
strimmer, failure to follow the manual could result in personal injury and/or damage to the
equipment.
STARTING THE ENGINE
* Observe all safety regulations: keep hands and feet away from moving parts.
Ensure that bystanders are at a safe distance from the machine.
Select an area free from loose objects that can be ejected.
Open fuel valve.
When the engine is cold, open the throttle to trigger the shock.
If the engine does not start, open the throttle a little more and try again.
Always set the throttle to maximum power when mowing .
Always warm up the engine at idle before use to give the engine a normal working speed
of max. 3,600 rpm.
NOTE Always close the fuel valve as soon as the engine has been switched o.
The bearing must be tapped down a few millimetres in order
for the protective cover to t properly. Failure to do so may re-
sult in the plate pinching against the bottom plate.
Table of contents
DRIVING AND SPEED
The amount of grass to be cut determines the forward speed; low speed usually produces the
best results. Start at the lowest possible speed; ensure that the mower is working eciently
with the engine at maximum RPM without straining. (This is not always possible due to very
tough cutting conditions).
The trimmer wire cuts grass with the force from the nylon line. Avoid mowing too much grass
at a time. This slows down the rotation of the trimmer due to resistance and poor cutting
performance.
It is important to always listen to the engine to be sure that the motor and mower are working
eectively - slow down or stop if the engine starts to labour.
Follow the instructions above in NORMAL SPEED. Expected speed is much lower when the
machine is working hard. Failure to do so will result in the power transmission slipping and
very serious damage to the clutch and drive belts.
SWITCHING OFF THE ENGINE
When switching o the machine after heavy work. Allow the engine to
idle for at least four minutes to allow the drive belts to cool down.
Be cautious of hot parts such as the exhaust system, belts, etc. after the
engine has been switched o.
When the mower has cooled down (at least one hour after last use). Make
sure that there is no grass left on the engine’s cooling ns and the rotor before you use the
mower again.
AFTER USE
* If necessary, wash the equipment.
Warning!
IMPORTANT! When changing from normal to heavier cutting, it is usual for the
engine to start labouring with a drop in RPM. SLOW DOWN IMMEDIATELY so that
the engine returns to normal RPM and speed.
Warning!
Altering the accelerator setting to increase rpm above the recommendations given can
invalidate the warranty. Cutting performance will be reduced, fuel consumption will
increase and substantial vibrations may occur, which leads to a risk for the user and
equipment.
RECYCLING
When scrapping, the equipment should be dismantled and transported to a des-
ignated recycling station. Contact your local authority for further information.
Avoid burns
 Table of contents
TRIMMER WIRE
It is important to always cut the wire to the correct length. Using too long a wire can result
in the engine stopping or running unevenly because the wire cuts too much grass. Cutting
around a tree can also damage the wire if it is too long.
Remove any grass or dirt on the wire holder.
Fold the wire in the middle to create a loop (SEE FIGURE BELOW)
Place the loop on the outside of the wire holder and thread the ends of the wire through the
wire holder and the loop in the wire.
Pull the wire to tighten the knot.
Then cut the wire ush with the protective cap.
ADJUSTMENT OF WORKING HEIGHT
The unit can be adjusted in ve dierent steps.
Always switch o the engine before adjusting the height.
Set the machine in transportation mode, remove the pins for the support wheels and set the
support wheels at the required height.
Ret the pins.
UNLOADING SPRING ANTIBARRIER SYSTEM
Anti-obstacle system causes the unit to spring away when it hits an obstacle.
The tension of the spring should be adjusted before using it to cut thick grass.
When mowing in densely populated areas, the spring must be tensioned.
Move the snap hook on the chain closer to the spring to increase tension.
Move the snap hook at the end or farthest away from the spring
to relieve tension.
Always have chain and spring attached at both ends.
TIP! On uneven terrain, it is
advantageous to attach the
spring to the ATV to assist
with lifting, thus preventing
the strimmer getting stuck in
hollows and uneven surfaces.

DRAWBAR
The cutting unit can be positioned on either the left- or right-hand side of the drawbar.
The engine must always be switched o before adjusting.
Remove the pin, set to the desired position by turning the rod, ret the pin.
TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
Check that the work area is free from bystanders, children and objects before driving o. Always
observe additional caution during transport and moving. Ensure that the equipment or product is
well anchored and existing transport lashings are tted. Always position the load as low as possible.
Respect the risk zones even during transport and moving. Do not permit anyone to walk under sus-
pended loads when carrying out lifts. Trailers used for transport should have brakes in working order.
Always store the equipment or product on a dry surface, preferably under a roof, when not in use.
Ensure that the equipment or product is stable and cannot tip over. Never permit children to play at
the storage site. Be aware of the tipping risk!
TRANSPORT MODE
When moving the mower from one workplace to another, put it in transportation mode.
The engine must be switched o and the rotor completely stopped before adjusting to transport
mode.
Lift and turn the mower inwards (anticlockwise/clockwise).
Place the attachment on the drawbar.
Remove all grass from the mower before leaving the eld. Never move from one place to another
with the engine running. Please note that it not legal to use the strimmer on public roads. It should
not therefore be used on public roads. The maximum towing speed is 15 km/h.

CLEANING AND WASHING
Cleaning and washing will extend the service life of the machine. Make a habit of cleaning the
machine immediately after use, before the dirt has a chance to harden properly. Check that
the tank lid is securely closed to avoid getting water in the tank. Be careful when using a high
pressure washer as this could damage labels, instructions and the engine. Do not exceed a
water pressure of 70 bar/1,000 psi when washing.
Lubricate the machine after washing and cleaning. This is especially important when the ma-
chine is being prepared for storage.
BEFORE STORING THE MACHINE IT MAY BE ADVISABLE TO SERVICE IT TO ENSURE
THAT IT WILL WORK NEXT SEASON.
Repaint the machine if necessary to prevent rusting.
Check whether the machine is damaged. Tighten all loose nuts and bolts.
Change the oil.
Open the fuel valve and empty the tank and the carburettor.
Close the fuel valve.
Remove the spark plug and ll approximately 1 tbsp of engine oil into the cylinder. Tilt the
machine to evenly distribute the oil and screw the spark plug back in place.
Lubricate all lubrication nipples, joints and cables.
Store the machine in a dry, clean place, and cover it for additional protection.
LUBRICATION OF BEARINGS
Blade bearings must be lubricated after every ten hours of operation. NOTE Slowly and care-
fully pump in grease to prevent damage to the bearing seals. Be extra careful when using a
high-pressure grease gun.
CHANGING THE OIL
Make sure you use approved oil containers when changing oil. Old oil must be disposed of at
thecorrect
recycling station. Contact your local authority for more information.
Ensure that the machine cannot tip over.
Pull out the dipstick.
Place a container under the engine and loosen the oil plug.
Empty the oil sump, screw the oil plug back in place and tighten.
Fill with new oil and check the level.
Use lubrication oil SAE 30, check the level,
ll with oil until the oil level is between
the min. and max. levels.
