STUDIO FACILITIES USE.
Contact TROJAN with any questions regarding this classification. It is recommended that all users of TROJAN be informed of the

HEALTH WARNING
• Beforestartinganyexerciseorconditioningprogramyoushouldconsultwithyourpersonalphysiciantoseeifyourequirea
completephysicalexam.Thisisespeciallyimportantifyouareovertheageof35orhaveneverexercised,arepregnantorsuffer
from any illness.
• Ifatanytimeduringexerciseyoufeelfaint,dizzyorexperiencepain,stopexercisingimmediatelyandconsultyourphysician.

ACCESS CONTROL
TROJAN recommends that all fitness equipment be used in a supervised area. It is recommended that the equipment be located in
an access controlled area. Control is the responsibility of the owner. Keep children away from all equipment. Parents or other
supervising adults must provide close supervision of children if the equipment is used in the presence of children.
INSTALLATION
TROJAN recommends that all equipment:
• Besecuredtoorsetuponasolid,levelsurfacetostabilizeandeliminaterockingortippingoverduringtraining.
• Besetupinsideyourhomeawayfrommoistureanddust(theequipmentisnotdesignedforoutdooruse).
• Besetupwithsufcientventilationtoensureproperoperation.
• Besetupwithsufcientspacearoundtheequipmentsothatallexercisescanbecompletedsafely.Itis
recommendedthatthereshouldbeatleast1mofspacearoundtheequipmentwhereaccessisrequiredtoexercise.
Fortreadmillsitisrecommendedthatyouhave2mofspacebehindtherunningdeck.
• Beinstalledbyourteamofinstallers.
PROPER USAGE
• Donotusetheequipmentinanywayotherthanasdesignedorintendedbythemanufacturer.Itisimperativethat
TROJAN equipment is used properly to avoid injury.

• Donotattempttoadjustanyseats/pads/pulleysetc.whileyouareonyourTROJANequipment.

Instructions for assembly
• Unpackthecartonandusingthepartslistcheckthatallpartsareaccountedfor.
• Donotdisposeofthepackagingmaterialuntilassemblyiscompleted.
• AnAllenWrenchisprovidedforuseinassembly.
STEP 1
• AttachtheRearStabilizer(35),whichincludes
2EndCaps(23),torearcurvebracketof
Main Frame (19), using 2 Carriage Bolts (21), 2
Curved Washers (28), 2 Spring Washers (27)
and 2 Cap Nuts (42).
• AttachtheFrontStabilizer(22),whichincludes
2 Transportation Wheel Caps (24), to front
curvebracketofMainFrame(19),using2
Carriage Bolts (21), 2 Curved Washers (28), 2
Spring Washers (27) and 2 Cap Nuts (42).
Note: You can use the End Caps (23) to level
thebike.
STEP 2
• Removethe3pre-assembledWashers(40)
and3NylonLocknuts(41)fromSeat(29).
• AttachSeat(29)tothemountingplateontop
of Seat Post (32) using 3 Washers (40) and
3NylonLocknuts(41).
• AttachSeatPostDecorationCover(31)to
seat post mounting tube of Main Frame (19).
• SlidetheBellows(70)ontoSeatPost(32).
• InsertSeatPost(32)toseatpostmounting
tube of Main Frame (19) and secure in
position with the Seat Post Adjustment
Knob (34).
• AfterassemblingtheSeatPostyoucanadjust
the seat to the desired position.

• SlideFrontPost(15)ontofrontpostmountingtube

includes 2 Hand Pulses (5), to the welded metal
clamp of Upper Front Post (15) and secure with
Sleeve (12) Clamp Decortion Cover (71) and Wing
Knob (14).

• Removethe4pre-assembledScrews(65)from
the Computer (7).
• ConnectMiddleSectionSensorWire(9)tothe
Sensor Wire on Computer (7).
• AttachtheComputer(7)totopbracketof
Front Post (15) with 4 Screws (65).
• InserttheplugofHandPulseWire(6)tothe
JackoftheComputer(7).
STEP 6
• AttachthePedalStraps(43R/43L)tothe
Pedals (44R/44L).
Note: The end with 4 adjustable holes must be set
outwards.
• ThePedals(44R/44L)andCrankArms(45)
aremarkedwith“R”&“L”(rightandleft).
Connect each Pedal (44R / 44L) to the
matchingCrankArm(45).
Note:TheRightPedal“R”shouldbethreadedon
clockwise.TheLeftPedal“Lshouldbethreadedon
counter-clockwise.

5. COMPUTER FUNCTIONS
QUICK START
1. Simply start pedaling and away you go!
2. The value of time, distance and calories will start counting upwards.
3.Adjusttheresistancelevelwiththelargedialcontrolknob.
OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES
POWER ON : Start pedaling or push the MODE button.
POWER OFF : Automatically shuts off after four minutes of inactivity.
MODE BUTTON : Press to select the display functions, SCAN, TIME, SPEED, DISTANCE, CALORIES
andHEARTRATE.Pressandholdforthreesecondstoresetallfunctionstozero.
OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
SCAN : Automatically scans each function, TIME, SPEED, DISTANCE, CALORIES, and HEART RATE , in sequence and
changes every four seconds. Press and release the MODE button until SCAN appears on the display.
TIME : Displays the time elapsed from one second up to 99:59 minutes.
SPEED: Displaysthecurrentspeedfromzeroto999.9KMperhour.
DISTANCE: Displaysthedistancecoveredfromzeroto99.99KM.
CALORIES: Displaysthecalorieconsumptionfromzeroto999.9kcal.
The calories readout is an estimate for an average user. It should only be used as a comparison between
workoutsonthisunit.
HEART RATE : Display your heart rate in beats per minute. To display heart rate, select the heart rate mode and grasp the
pulsesensorsonthehandlebars,oneineachhand.Theheartsymbolwillbeginashingwhenthecomputer
sensesyourheartrate.Yourheartratewillbedisplayedapproximatelyvesecondsafterthehearticonis
displayed. If you do not place your hands correctly and 60 seconds passes without a heart rate reading, the
computer will turn off the heart rate circuit. If this occurs, press the MODE button to restart, place your hands
backonthepulsesensorscorrectly,andtheheartratereadoutwillappear.
Note:Thecomputerwillshutoffautomaticallyafterfourminutesofinactivity.Allfunctionvalueswillbekept.PushtheMODEbutton
andholditdownforthreesecondstoresetallfunctionstozero.
BATTERY INSTALLATION:
1. Disconnect the computer from the equipment.
2. Openthebatterydooronthebackofthecomputer.
3. The computer operates with 2 AA batteries.

3. Rechargeable batteries are not recommended.

AEROBIC EXERCISE
Aerobicexerciseisanysustainedactivitythatsendsoxygentoyourmusclesviayourheartandlungs.Aerobicexercise
improvesthetnessofyourlungsandheart-yourbody’smostimportantmuscle.Aerobicexercisetnessispromoted
byanyactivitythatusesyourlargemuscles(arms,legs,orbuttock,forexample).Yourheartbeatsquicklyandyoubreathe
deeply.Anaerobicexerciseshouldbepartofyourentireexerciseroutine.
WEIGHT TRAINING
Alongwithaerobicexercisingwhichhelpsgetridofandkeepofftheexcessfatthatourbodiescanstore,weighttrain-
ingisanessentialpartoftheexerciseroutineprocess.Weighttraininghelpstone,buildandstrengthenmuscle.Ifyou
areworkingaboveyourtargetzone,youmaywanttodoalesseramountofreps.Andasalwaysconsultyourphysician
beforebeginninganyexerciseprogram.
MUSCLE CHART
CYCLE
Theexerciseroutinethatisperformedonthecyclewilldevelopthelowerbodymusclegroupaswellasconditionthe
circulatorysystemandprovideagoodaerobicworkout.Thesemusclegroupsarehighlightedonthemusclechartbelow.

7. CONDITIONING GUIDELINES
Howyoubeginyourexerciseprogramdependsonyourphysicalcondition.Ifyouhavebeeninactiveforseveralyears,or
areseverelyoverweight,youmuststartslowlyandincreaseyourtimeontheequipment;afewminutesperworkout.
Initially,youmaybeabletoexerciseonlyforafewminutesinyourtargetzone,however,youraerobictnesswillimprove
overthenextsixtoeightweeks.Don’tbediscouragedifittakeslonger.It’simportanttoworkatyourownpace.
Ultimately,you’llbeabletoexercisecontinuouslyfor30minutes.Thebetteryouraerobictness,theharderyouwillhave
toworktostayinyourtargetzone.Pleaseremembertheseessentials:
•Haveyourdoctorreviewyourtraininganddietprogramstoadviseyouofaworkoutroutineyoushouldadopt.
•Beginyourtrainingprogramslowlywithrealisticgoalsthathavebeensetbyyouandyourdoctor.
•Monitoryourpulsefrequently.Establishyourtargetheartratebasedonyourageandcondition.
•Setupyourequipmentonaat,evensurfaceatleast3feetfromwallsandfurniture.
EXERCISE INTENSITY
Tomaximizethebenetsofexercising,itisimportanttoexercisewiththe
proper intensity. The proper intensity level can be found by using your heart
rateasaguide.Foreffectiveaerobicexercise,yourheartrateshouldbe
maintainedatalevelbetween65%and85%ofyourmaximumheartrate
asyouexercise.Thisisknownasyourtargetzone.Youcanndyourtarget
zoneinthetablebelow.
Duringtherstfewmonthsofyourexerciseprogram,keepyourheartratenearthelowendofyourtargetzoneasyou
exercise.Afterafewmonths,yourheartratecanbeincreasedgraduallyuntilitisnearthemiddleofyourtargetzoneas
youexercise.
Tomeasureyourheartrate,stopexercisingbutcontinuemovingyourlegsorwalkingaroundandplacetwongerson
yourwrist.Takeasix-secondheartbeatcountandmultiplytheresultsby10tondyourheartrate.Forexample,ifyour
six-secondheartbeatcountis14,yourheartrateis140beatsperminute.(Asix-secondscountisusedbecauseyour
heartratewilldroprapidlywhenyoustopexercising.)
Adjusttheintensityofyourexerciseuntilyour
heart rate is at the proper level.

8. WARM-UP AND COOL-DOWN
WORKOUT GUIDELINES
Eachworkoutshouldincludethefollowingthreeparts:
Awarm-up,consistingof5to10minutesofstretchingandlightexercise.Aproperwarm-upincreasesyourbodytem-
perature,heartrate,andcirculationinpreparationforexercise.
Trainingzoneexercise,consistingof20to30minutesofexercisingwithyourheartrateinyourtrainingzone.(Note:
Duringtherstfewweeksofyourexerciseprogram,donotkeepyourheartrateinyourtrainingzoneforlongerthan
20 minutes.)
Acool-down,with5to10minutesofstretching.Thiswillincreasetheexibilityofyourmusclesandwillhelptoprevent
post-exerciseproblems.
EXERCISE FREQUENCY
Tomaintainorimproveyourcondition,planthreeworkoutseachweek,withatleastonedayofrestbetweenworkouts.
Afterafewmonthsofregularexercise,youmaycompleteuptoveworkoutseachweek,ifdesired.Remember,thekey
tosuccessismakeexercisearegularandenjoyablepartofyoureverydaylife.
SUGGESTED STRETCHES
The correct form for several basic stretches is shown at the right. Move slowly as you
stretch, never bounce.
1. Toe Touch Stretch
Standwithyourkneesbentslightlyandslowlybendforwardfromyourhips.Allow
yourbackandshoulderstorelaxasyoureachdowntowardyourtoesasfaraspos-
sible.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.Repeat3times.Stretches:Hamstrings,backof
kneesandback.
2. Hamstring Stretch
Sitwithonelegextended.Bringthesoleoftheoppositefoottowardyouandrestit
againsttheinnerthighofyourextendedleg.Reachtowardyourtoesasfaraspos-
sible.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Stretches:Ham-
strings,lowerbackandgroin.
3. Calf/Achilles Stretch
With one leg in front of the other, reach forward and place your hands against a
wall.Keepyourbacklegstraightandyourbackfootatontheoor.Bendyour
front leg, lean forward and move your hips toward the wall. Hold for 15 counts, then
relax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Tocausefurtherstretchingoftheachillestendons,
bendyourbacklegaswell.Stretches:Calves,achillestendonsandankles.
4. Quadriceps Stretch
Withonehandagainstawallforbalance,reachbackandgrasponefootwithyour
otherhand.Bringyourheelasclosetoyourbuttocksaspossible.Holdfor15counts,
thenrelax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Stretches:Quadricepsandhipmuscles.
5. Inner Thigh Stretch
Sitwiththesolesofyourfeettogetherandyourkneesoutward.Pullyourfeet
towardyourgroinareaasfaraspossible.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.Repeat3

1. The consol is showing the incorrect readings.
• Checkthattheconnectoronthebackoftheconsolispluggedincorrectly.
• Checkthebatteriesintheconsolareinsertedinthecorrectorientationandthattheyareinworkingcondition.
• Presstheresetbuttontotestiftheerrorhascorrecteditself.
2. The functions are not working properly or display incorrectly.
• Checkthattheconnectoronthebackoftheconsolispluggedincorrectly.
• Presstheresetbuttontotestiftheerrorhascorrecteditself.
3. There is no pulse reading or the data displayed is unstable.
• Checkthatthereisaproperconnectionbetweenyourhandsandthehandpulseconnector(thehandpulse
sensorswillnotoperatecorrectlyifyourskinisextremelydry.Moistenyourhandsandtryagain).
• Checkthattheconnectedwireisnotbroken.
• Resetandcarefullyfollowtheinstructionsinthemanual.

1. Procedure for repairs
ShouldyouexperienceanyfaultsorbreakdownsonyourTrojanequipment,pleaseadheretothefollowingprocedure
tohavethefaultrectiedspeedilyandprofessionally.
• Donotreturntheproducttothestore*
• Call0861 Trojan (0861 876526)tologthefaultyproduct(underwarrantyoroutofwarranty)
• Theoperatorortechnicaladvisorwilltryidentifythefault,andwillbookaserviceteamcallout.
• Theserviceteamwillendeavourtoxtheprobleminyourhomeonanagreeddateandtime.
• Onlyifthefaultcannotberepairedintheconvenienceofyourhome,willtheserviceteamtakethe
faultyproductbacktotheservicecentre.
• Itemsrepairedinourservicecentrewillbereturnedtoyourhomeonanagreeddateandtime.

2. Cost of Repairs
2.1 Under warranty
• Anyitemsstillunderwarrantywillberepairedfreeofcharge,aslongasitcomplieswiththetermsand

• AnyitemsthatneedtoberepairedthatareNOTcoveredinthewarrantywillbefortheconsumer’s
expense.Aquotefortherepair/replacementoftheseitemswillbeprovidedtotheconsumerfor
approvalpriortorepairsbeingconducted.
2.2 Out of Warranty
• Anyitemsthatneedtoberepairedoncethewarrantyhasexpiredwillbefortheconsumer’sexpense
includingcalloutfees.Aquotefortherepair/replacementoftheseitemswillbeprovidedtothe
consumerforapprovalpriortorepairsbeingconducted.
