No Audio
•
Check for any physical damage to speaker.
• Verify Speaker wires are connected properly.
• Verify Radio controls are properly set for the speaker.
• Verify with a meter there is power output going to speaker.
• Connect a known good speaker in place of the one in question.
Distortion
•
Check for any physical damage to speaker.
•
Verify if the distortion is at all levels of volume.
•
Verify radio control settings are not causing issue.
Crackling
•
Check for any physical damage to speaker.
•
Verify speaker wires have solid connections.
•
Check for any possible shorts in the speaker wiring.
•
When possible, play a CD in the player to get the cleanest audio
possible to rule out static in the radio’s reception.
